Jackie OrtizAll right, now that we’re all crying, let’s go.
Oh, I can reach the podium.
I didn’t think I could.
Awesome, guys.
Well, man, are you guys excited.
This has been an awesome event so far.
We attribute so much of our success over the years to what David and Dawn have done here and all of you guys just competing together and having fun doing it, and we’re all growing from it before we pass it over and the family starts speaking.
I know we mentioned it earlier, but obviously today is Ivonne birthday.
You guys probably heard, and I know we sang her Happy Birthday, but Ivonne is so special to the whole hierarchy.
She’s the matriarch of our family.
We call her the Oracle because she knows all, really, if you have a question right and nobody else knows the answer, they say, ask Ivonne, because she always knows the answer.
If the home office doesn’t answer, I call Ivonne next.
She’s the queen of the Aviators, so I just wanted to make sure we wish her Happy Birthday one more time.
So on the count of three, if we could just say Happy Birthday to Ivonne, because we all wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t for her.
So one, two, three.
Happy birthday, Ivonne.
We love you so much.
Thank you for being the mother in law from heaven and not from h***.
There are some of those out there, but we’re lucky that Ivonne is not one of them.
We love you and appreciate you so much.
So thank you so much.
Brynne OrtizAll right, we wanted to say thank you to Brandon Reed for coming to this event this weekend, for taking time from your family and your business to pour into us and the team.
Thank you to all the guest speakers.
We are so excited to keep hearing from you this evening.
Thank you.
To David and Dawn Harris.
I don’t know where you guys went, but for all you do to create this environment and the weekend for us, we love coming to the events and getting to see our team excited and learning from all of you is amazing.
Rusty got some pictures, so let me not forget too far.
Go back.
Okay, rusty our upline.
We are so thankful to you for coming to Tampa this weekend to celebrate with us.
Jackie OrtizThanks, babe.
Brynne OrtizFor supporting and encouraging the Ortiz family throughout the years.

If you are an Rvp or above in the Aviator hierarchy, please stand up.
Thank you guys for your loyalty, commitment, hard work.
We recognize you for each of your efforts and believe in you more than .
Thank you guys again so much for everything.
We ran an incentive the last two months and we are so proud of the Aviators who made the commitment to win.
If you received the million dollar team one by 1000 shirt, please stand up.
Brynne OrtizSo awesome.
You guys are looking amazing, right? The shirts are nice.
Jackie OrtizAll right.
Ivonne OrtizYeah.
Brynne OrtizIf you guys continue to stand.
If you receive the top players jacket, 10,000 personal premium in one month, congratulations to Britney Monroe, Eduard Fernandez and Gabby Cabrera ansi, marcellus Willis and Jay Wright.
Alejandro and Lewis Camejo melissa Giorgi, brendan and Janet Rivera.
Please stand.
If you receive the MVP million dollar team jacket for doing over 10,000 in personal premium two months in a row, congratulations to newest $200,000 earner, layton Brown, Julie Dormius, Antasia and Javaris Bruce.
Additionally, we had an amazing time at the Hibachi dinner.
20 by 20,000 team incentive and congratulations to those winners.
It was an incredible night.
We encourage everyone to continue to recruit families, spouses, friends, siblings, business partners and more.
We are so happy and honored to be part of paving the way of how Primerica is redefining partnership.
We celebrate this milestone with all of you and the Aviator hierarchy.
Brynne OrtizWe still have so much to accomplish and a lot of work is still left to be done.
We are so excited for the future and the generations to come.
Jason OrtizLove it, man.
You all just had to start the event with the video, get us all emotional up here and stuff like that.
Man, it’s been absolutely incredible.
I have an opportunity, right? If anybody knows any kind of training that you need to get from Jason Eric is going to be a technical type training man.
We want to give you guys some stuff that you guys can take as well.
Through this million dollar run, we really learned a couple of different things from a personal standpoint, from a base shop standpoint, and from a hierarchy standpoint.
That’s what we want to share with you guys here today.
I know you guys have heard it earlier today with Edouard.
Eduard said, man, it takes a village to create something, but it really starts at a personal level for us.
On a personal standpoint, every single Monday morning we have a mandatory toga board meeting and it gets nasty in there sometimes, but we start every single meeting with a prayer.
Jason OrtizDad always starts a prayer to get our minds right.
We check up on each other and make sure we’re doing good mentally, but most of the time we talk really about babies and grandbabies first and foremost, and then we get down into business.
We go from family members, right? I don’t want to be kind of controversy.
We go from family members.
We kind of take the hat off when we go down to being business partners.
It’s really important, but that we go through that.
When we go through, we make sure that the business we really had a focus on making sure that all our leaders, that all our RVPs and all our senior leaders had what they needed to make sure that they had a successful business.
The whole thing was running like a well old machine.
We did weekly department evaluations.
We really run toga like a corporation.
Jason OrtizRight? You have CEOs, CFOs, CMOS, different things like that.
Eric and I, we take care and we’re in charge of recruiting and premium.
Jackie is in charge of licensing.
Britt is in charge of back end, mom is in charge of securities investments, and dad is the CEO.
Just make sure everything is running according to where it needs to be going.
My first point here is you got to get your partner involved.
Right.
We’re very fortunate that we have six partners in our business.
You have to get your partner involved because right or right, Primerica, you have a lot of place that you need to spend.
Right.
We got a lot of places you need to spend in Primerica.
Right.
Much better.
All right.
In our business, we wanted to make sure that we totally sold out to making sure that we did the very best in each one of those departments.
Jason OrtizIt was following up on pending business opportunities and then really the main focus of that was having ideas on how we could breathe life and energy back into the bay shop, into the hierarchy.
That’s where our Vegas incentive was born, right? That’s where the Hibachi incentive was born.
We had a ton of different promotions where there were jackets, shirts, hats, different things like that.
Guys, what happened was from a personal standpoint, by doing something like that, it led us to personally averaging four personal recruits by about 12,000 of personal premium, 600,000 of investment volume, about two direct licenses, personally month in and month out.
I want to share that with you guys because you have to lead from the front with massive action, so you can really feel like you deserve to win.
I feel like once you truly feel that you deserve to win, guys, you certainly will.
Jason OrtizEric, talk to me about the bay shop real quick.
Eric OrtizNot only do you have to focus on the personal side of it, that’s just for of time, that is the nitty gritty that is down in the dirt.
Eventually you’re going to start building a base shop.
Who here wants to build a big bay shop? All right, perfect.
Here’s what you have to realize when you’re building a big bay shop, you got to focus it on the depth.
You got to focus on how deep your tree can grow.
Right.
How deep can your tree grow? Right? This monitor just went out, but I got you right here.
So what does that mean? Is it up there? We’re still up there.
Okay, so what does that mean, man? Listen, you got to have an average of mindset.
If I got to have an average of 25 people showing up every boot camp, every Zoom meeting.
If you focus in on that, these are the results of that, you’re going to have eight to twelve licenses from that happening.
Eric OrtizIf you’re training on what you guys learn today, the basics, the fundamentals, you’re also going to have three to four producers.
You’re also going to have one to two field trainers, and ideally, you’re going to find all that four deep.
All right? By doing this, guys, listen, our base shop is an incredible base shop.
I know it’s not the biggest in our hierarchy.
It will be.
We’re going to compete with Layton and the Edois and everybody in the Camille and all them as well, too.
Last year, our base shop, we did over 349 recruits by 366,009 million investment volume, right? That is a balanced business, all in 2022.
That’s a 30 by 30 average, all right? 30 by 30 average.
Having a hierarchy will make you a million dollars, all right? You also be writing that down.
You also be writing that down.
Look, the only thing worse than training agents and losing them is not training agents and keeping them, right? Eric OrtizThat’s the only thing worse.
I’m not sure Jason is going to come up here.
He’s going to share with you guys our accountability structure, right? Take notes, learn.
This is something good in business, guys.
Jason OrtizWhat we’ve learned, we definitely consider ourselves players in the basehop, in the hierarchy, involved with in every single aspect and being held accountable at the highest level, being transparent across the board.
We had to be consistent in everything that we do to be a transparent leader.
We’re so fortunate, so grateful to dad every single morning.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a Saturday, it doesn’t matter if it’s 4 July.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Christmas or if it’s New Year’s.
We get a report that looks like this right here, right? Every one of the RVPs get a report that looks like this.
It’s so that we have a focus of running a balanced business.
I mean, it’s got Qbi, it’s got your investment volume, it’s got how many licenses you have in the base, your personal production, your team production, your cash, your team cash, and where you’re at even in the contest, right? Jason OrtizWe focus in on this on a daily basis.
Listen, guys, you got to be accountable to somebody, right? Only a coach can see your flaws.
All the best players.
The Tiger Woods, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, they all have coaches.
It’s so ridiculous to think that we can go through a business like this and not have a coach to help us accountable.
See, getting something a report like this and reviewing it with leadership, with people that really care for you and want to go for what it does for you, is you get really comfortable being uncomfortable.
You get comfortable being uncomfortable.
As long as you’re competitive and you’re in the game, you’re never going to relax.
It’s the uncomfortable feeling that’s going to get you to do what you normally don’t do.
Eric OrtizGuys, listen, that’s just you got to have accountability, right? Accountability is the glue that ties your commitments to your results.
All right? And look right here.
I’m going to show you guys a little something.
I want you guys to write this down.
Everyone has to be held accountable in our hierarchy, right? That’s including Jason and myself, mom and dad, Brendan and Jack.
We all hold each other accountable.
A true friend is someone who’s going to tell you, hey, man, you need to step up in this area.
This area.
In this area, right? An enemy is someone who’s going to not tell you those things and hope that you just fall on your face, all right? We allow the hierarchy to cultivate as a family relationship as well, too.
Guys, listen, if you’re building this business and you’re hiring and your RVPs and your base shopping and your reps are not your friends, guys, it is not an enjoyable environment.
Eric OrtizThat just tells me that you got to increase or you got to help and develop a new environment.
Listen, every single day, we talk to our vice presidents and vice presidents, hear every single voice in our team every single morning for the last three years, daily boot camps.
I had to give it up to Edouard Fernandez.
Eduard Fernandez, three years ago, spearheaded a boot camp that we do every single morning, right? 930, 1030.
We talk about fundamentals, we talk about products.
We talk about whatever is on the agenda for that week just so that we can get better throughout the month.
So, Edwin, I appreciate you on that, man.
Guys, listen, back in before COVID you all remember those days.
Who was here before COVID you would probably go to your base shop, mandatory meetings twice a week, a meeting, and Saturday training.
Now you have the opportunity to do it from home every single morning, which we take.
Eric OrtizAnd it’s not just training, guys.
We celebrate milestones, birthdays, weddings.
We celebrate promotions.
We celebrate engagements, new members to the hierarchy, meaning kids, right? You got to make sure that you’re not just talking about business 100% of the time.
You got to celebrate personal as well, too, right? By doing this, guys, listen, our hierarchy, our aviator hierarchy gets me so fired up to say that we did over 3600 recruits last year, $2.3 million in premium, $13 million in securities volume with 321 new licenses to our hierarchy, man, that is huge.
That’s a reflection of us being consistent in everything that we do.
Jason, you’re going to share some actual numbers, right, so that people can see that.
Jason OrtizYes, absolutely.
All I can say about this next slide, guys, is just, wow, what you guys are going to see is a lot of people will see us at these leadership schools, and they say, man, they have kind of this incredible rise, but it was a culmination of a three year run, right? Before I get into this right, Edward, ed, where were you at? Ed, where were you at? There you are.
Edward, man, I want to give you a really special shout out to Eduard, because before COVID right, were running trainings twice a week, right? On a Tuesday for a meeting, Saturday for trainings.
When COVID came around, he had this brilliant idea.
He said, man, if we’re going to do zooms, why don’t we just do training every single day? We really got into that and spearheaded that.
Edward, even though every single one of the RVPs have facilitated and they’ve helped out in a big way, I really want to thank you, Eduar and Layton, man, for doing an amazing job, spearheading it and taking this hierarchy to the next level, man.
Jason OrtizReally appreciate you guys, man.
They’re our biggest cheerleaders, always number one across the board, man.
And we really appreciate them.
What essentially they did, what they helped out, was developing a great system, patrick and what we focused on, and we made sure that we want service to tell you what, we made sure that we stuck to it.
Right.
Be very cautious of jumping on this flavor of the month type system, right.
It’s confusing to people.
At the end of the day, there’s so many different systems in the business, right? Our philosophy may be different from Charlemont and Marlene, it may be different from Tesla, it may be different from Julio, right.
Every system in the business works if you decide to work at it.
Right.
COVID, 2020, right? March of 2020, COVID hit.
We were averaging maybe, like, 30, 40,000 in the hierarchy.
COVID hit the very next month, we started seeing some big spikes because of that boot camp training, right? Jason Ortiz2021 of February, we crossed over 700,000.
The very next month, we had an idea, right? The idea of merging our businesses together acquired we finalized that in December of 2021.
2022 of February went over 800,000.
October, 900,000, and we crossed over a million last month in December.
Right.
So it was absolutely incredible.
Right? I want to leave you with this before I pass it over to Eric to finish this off.
Stay focused until the job gets done.
Stay focused until the job gets done.
Never forget the reason why you started Primerica in the first place.
Stay in focus for us.
We always wanted to be one of the special families once across the stage, as a million dollar earner.
What happened was when you stay focused, right.
Staying focused is easy when your goals are extremely important to you guys, man.
Thank you.
I’m going to pass over to eric to finish this up.
Eric OrtizAll right.
Hey, guys, listen real quick.
This right here, if you guys look at this picture was last tbls.
This last TBS, were at 800,000.
Let me show you how impactful this is.
Aviators.
Can you all stand up? Everyone in aviators, stand up.
Aviators.
Aviators.
Aviators.
This is our million.
800 million.
I appreciate you guys, man.
Thank you, guys, for everything.
Right? I’m going to pass it over to ed ortiz.
Ed OrtizI don’t need that.
How are you guys doing? All right, here we go.
Here we go.
All right.
Hey.
Ask and you shall seek and you shall knock, and the doors will be all right.
Why do I say that? Okay.
40 years ago I’m talking about august of 1984, I was traveling from fort benning, georgia, to colorado springs.
On the way, somewhere around the way, I had a conversation with god, and I basically said, god, I’m ready to get married.
I’m 27 years old, but I want a hispanic lady.
I want a bilingual lady.
I want a lady that could start a conversation in english he doesn’t mean I look at panor, conor.
That’s what I wanted.
I didn’t know god at the time, but I just put it out there.
I got to fort carson, Colorado, the next day.
The next day.
Don’t worry.
Ed OrtizDon’t worry.
The next day, I’m signing in on the quarters, and I look over to my side and I see the most beautiful thing these guys have ever seen.
And I say, dang, that is nice.
As a matter of fact, it’s way too much for me.
She was speaking spanish, and I said, whoa, whoa.
I went up to her and I said, excuse me.
I didn’t say it like that.
I said, excuse me.
I said, where are you from? Where are you from? And she said, from puerto Rico.
This lady absolutely well, you’ve seen her.
She’s absolutely stunning.
She’s beautiful, okay? Linda carter had nothing on this lady.
She was airborne paratrooper and all that stuff.
I asked her, what do you think? She said from Puerto Rico.
Guys, let me tell you.
Remember, ask and you shall receive.
I said, this is a word from and I basically said instantly in my mind, I said, if this lady in mary, if she’s not engaged as a lady, I’m going to marry.
Ed OrtizTwo months later, were married.
I don’t play around.
I don’t play around.
I’m a closer.
I signed her IBA.
Got her in the business.
Got her in the business, man.
That was the first time I asked and I received a second time I asked and I received that.
I remember that.
I remember clearly that had a conversation with god.
This was in august of 1992.
I’m coming out the military.
It’s my first day, 31 August.
It’s a Monday.
Check it out.
1980, 419 92, and it’s a Monday.
I am like scared to death because the next day, 1 September, I’m a civilian.
I got no more paychecks.
I remember and I said, God, tomorrow I’m a civilian, I got no more paycheck.
I got two little boys, two little baby boys.
I got and I got my wife.
Lord help me out.
I picked up a Sunday paper because I couldn’t buy it on Sunday.
Ed OrtizI had to wait till someone left around and I picked that thing.
I went to the classified and I saw this little ads bilingual needed to your college.
I said, that’s me.
I called them up, went for an interview, went for that interview.
It wasn’t what I was looking for as a cash collection agency.
I was so disappointed.
On the way out, instead of making a left of the car, I made a right.
And I came across a Primerica office.
I remember a friend of mine who said, ed, whenever you see a Primerica office, make sure you go in there and check it out.
They got some great investment.
I walked in there, gentleman by the name Ward Peters, he was an Rvp that Rusty trained.
I walked in there, and the minute he sees me, he says, are you here for an opportunity? You’re interested in making money, being your own boss, having your own business, being financially set, being wealthy, what you got? Ed OrtizHe sat me down and he showed me what the company is all about.
Remember ask and you Shaw.
I said, this is answer.
So I knew that.
I knew that this was something for me.
You with me.
I knew that this is where God wanted me to be.
It became to me, it was like, no matter what, I can’t screw this thing up.
Because I knew that the products alone would make you wealthy.
When he started talking about the opportunity, I said, man, this is just like the military.
You come in the military, you hire three people, you become a captain, hire three more, you become a colonel and so forth.
I said, this is the same thing.
Only difference here is that we get paid more and we don’t get shot at.
I’m in.
I started working this thing and first thing I said, got to become a student.
Ed OrtizThe first thing, as far as becoming seven principals, I said, I got to learn how to prospect.
I got to learn how to set an appointment.
I got to learn how to do a presentation.
And I got good at that.
And I made it my own.
I made it fun.
You with me.
I would see you anywhere.
I don’t care where I would see you.
I say, hey, listen, that’s a nice haircut.
You got.
Let me ask you, are you open for an opportunity? Do anyone who might be interested in making some extra money part time or even a career chain? And they say what? Me? Yeah.
How can I get a hold of you? I’ll give you a call sometime this week.
Let’s see if we get together.
Let me show you what we’re all about.
Tell me if it’s for you.
If it is, great.
Ed OrtizIf it’s not, that’s great, too.
Fair enough.
Boom.
And that’s how I did it.
If I would talk to someone that would say, hey, listen, you’re open for an opportunity you’re interested in? They said no, I would look them straight in the eyes and I’ll go, what about you? You interested? My job was to get a name and a number.
My job.
I didn’t care if they wanted.
I knew that I was looking for someone just like myself.
You with me? And that’s what it’s all about.
One thing that I will tell you is that I learned once, that this is for you.
You can’t fail.
You can’t fail.
Someone says no to you, that’s simply telling you, hey, it’s not part of your business.
And we kept on going.
One thing that I know that I’m good at is I would never quit.
I would never give up.
Ed OrtizI mean, I could stick to someone and just be disciplined on it.
For example, those numbers every day, I do those numbers.
Ask RVPs if they received it today.
Everybody knows their numbers as of today.
How much they earn, how much premium, how much recruiting, what’s everybody.
And tomorrow is a break day.
Monday, we go at it again.
But that’s what it’s all about, okay? Every morning you got to do it, okay? Just like my devotion, I do my numbers, okay? But that’s what it’s all about.
I’m going to take it and pass it over to the great Ivonne, my beautiful wife Ivana.
Come on, baby, knock it out.
Ivonne OrtizOh, my goodness.
They did leave me a couple of minutes to speak.
You know that when David and Don presented this to us, it really touched my heart.
It touched my heart because most of you have been here long enough that you have seen our family grow building Primerica as how many of you are how many of you were here when were making $300,000 a year? Let me see your hands.
Listen to me for a second, guys.
Some of you walked in here for the very first time today.
This is your first big event, and I don’t know what you’re getting out of it, but when Ed and I walked into that first Primerica business meeting, let me tell you that all of a sudden, I didn’t care what the world had to say about things.
I didn’t care where people were going.
I believed in our heart that this was for us.
Ivonne OrtizWe were going to build something big in here and were not going to let anybody or anyone steal it from us.
I beg you guys right now, when you walk out of this amazing environment, somebody’s going to try to take this away from you.
Just remember that one day we also walked in a place like this and many people tried to take it away from us.
I am so glad we never listened to anybody, but to the two of us and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
That was it being stuck, guys, it doesn’t matter if you’re broke and you’re stuck.
It doesn’t matter if you’re making $300,000 a year and you’re stuck.
It doesn’t matter if you’re making a million dollars a year and you’re stuck.
Stuck is stuck.
That means you’re not getting ahead.
You’re not fulfilled.
You feel like your purpose is not done, but you can’t move ahead.
Ivonne OrtizI don’t know if you’re stuck right now or not, guys, but I’m telling you something, guys.
This is the place where you can get unstuck.
I beg you guys that you don’t wait till an event happens in your life that you are forced to be unstuck.
I hope that it’s not a person and it’s not something that happens to you that causes you to say, I wish I would have taken advantage of this in here, so I’m not in a position that I am right now and I could have more solution because that had happened to us.
Guys, it has taken us 30 years to get to make a million dollars a year.
Feel sorry for us because were stuck at $300 for 27 years.
