‘¨”¨”¨Hey, how you guys doing? What’s up, Crusaders? All right, all right.
Shut the front door.
Let’s go.
All right, all right, all right.
First of all, it’s an honor to address you guys tonight, today, and I have mad respect for everybody in this room.
You all had reasons not to be here.
You showed up.
It’s not easy to do that all the time.
You’re spending money, investing time and energy to your future.
I have incredible admiration for this team here in the front couple of rows.
We’ve been through the wars together.
We grew up.
We’ve been through childbirths, marriages, all sorts of stuff.
By the way, my wife sends her regards.
My baby girl is getting married this week, and my wife is doing wedding crap.
I don’t know what the hell they got to do now, just.
”¨”¨”¨But they’re doing all that kind of stuff.
But thank you, Keith, Danielle, for being great leaders and awesome friends.
And I think, what am I going to talk about today? You had Omar and Diana covering all these fundamentals.
So I’m going to.
I just put something together.
I want to talk about winning.
Can you see this winning? I think we all really want to win at some point in our life.
So if we’re going to win, I went to the greatest resource on winning that we have available, and it’s just.
Well, let me show you what I’m talking about.
Anyone see this show? Average and oriented people get to do something above average and extraordinary.
Now, listen, I’m a pretty tough bastard.
I cried four times in my life when my three kids were born.
My dad died.
”¨”¨”¨But the last couple of years, I don’t know, I think I’m hitting my changes.
My estrogen levels going up.
I’m like 46 now.
And, like, I tear up like someone’s a golden ticket.
I start, like, crying.
I’m like, what the hell’s wrong with me? I’m just.
Well, I’m just so happy that people win.
And there’s examples there, people that shouldn’t win at all.
Like, anybody remember this lady? Remember what she said? Everybody, like, giggled and laughed, and Simon went, okay, go ahead, sing.
And.
And then she sang a song from Les Mis and lit the room on fire and just changed her total life.
I mean, think about some people in that situation might have turned off the stage.
They went on the stage, it kept going.
You might not have seen this guy on there, Andrew De Leon.
Anybody see this guy? ӬӬӬHe said, I have no friends.
I’m not good anything Nobody likes me.
They go, well, how long you been singing? She goes, he goes, I never sang in front of anybody in my life.
What about your parents? They’ve never heard me sing.
Are they here? Yeah, they’re up there.
So they go, okay, sing.
So this guy, you think he’s gonna sing like heavy metal, right? You know what he’s saying? He’s saying opera and the place went crazy for him, right? Or how about this guy, Cody Lee, blind and autistic, had the balls to come on stage to sing a song.
His mother had to walk him out and get him situated.
And then he rocked the house.
And let me tell you what happened to all of these people.
There were sneers, snickers, and eye rolls.
”¨”¨”¨I mean, so many people don’t even try because they’re afraid of that happening.
They don’t step out.
How many other great people have greatness in them but just can’t go and break that system? Or that cycle of being afraid to go out on a limb? But once they start doing great things, if there’s astonishment, disbelief, you watch the judges go, oh, my God, I can’t believe that.
And the audience starts clapping and standing up.
And there you go, you get the ovations and the applause.
And you know what this is like? This is just like your Primerica career.
You get the sneers and the snickers.
The problem is so many people who could do such great things here never get fast past that first part.
They’re afraid to get out of comfort zone.
ӬӬӬAfraid what somebody might say, afraid what people might talk behind their back.
Let me tell you, if people aren’t talking behind your back, you ain’t doing nothing.
If you want to make sure no one talks about you, do nothing, be nobody, go nowhere, no one will mention your name, ever.
So what did they do? They went and shocked the world.
Changed their lives.
Look at this.
Susan Boyle, net worth $40 million.
Now watch.
She was broke ass from a little village somewhere.
If she didn’t get on that stage, where would she be today? This guy’s.
He’s got opera albums worth $8 million.
I got every single one.
No, I don’t have any of them, but I’m just saying.
And this guy headlined a show.
You know him, he had lined the show in Vegas.
He’s worth 10 million bucks.
ӬӬӬThey shocked the world because they did something everyone thought they could not do.
They went and got out of their comfort zone.
People laughed at them.
People talk behind their back.
People said, don’t even try.
It’s not worth it.
You’ll never make it.
You’re not good enough.
You can’t do this.
But they made it happen.
They shocked the world.
You’re here to shock the world.
You’re here to shock your family.
You’re here to shock your friends and all the naysayers.
I remember all the people thought I was crazy doing Primerica.
And I remember I got my ring, and I wanted to show everybody, but I put it on my middle finger and I drove around town.
Here you go.
MF is right there.
Right.
There’s my ring.
There’s my ring.
There’s my ring.
So what? How do you do that? ӬӬӬHow do you shock people? Watch this.
When I beat Sonny Liston, I shocked the world.
When I joined the Muslims, I shocked the world.
When I beat George Foreman, I shocked the world.
I am the House of Shock.
You need to become the House of Shock.
You want everyone around you to be amazed at what you’ve done, what you become, what you earned, what you built, what you did, how you did it.
No matter what.
Listen, how do you win? Okay, that’s great.
How do I win? Here’s how you win.
One, you got to set some goals, like we.
It all starts that way.
Clear, concise, mental picture, stretchingly realistic goals, things that you can fight for.
And then you got to work hard.
This is a simple business, but it’s.
It’s not easy.
You got to make those phone calls.
ӬӬӬYou got to drive far.
You got to get rejection.
You got to study for the test.
You got to do a bunch of stuff that it might not seem like it’s worth it, but I promise you, it’s worth it.
And what people forget? Part of the process.
You got to fail hard.
What do you mean, fail hard? You might fail a test or two.
Your best people are going to quit.
You’re going to get that charge back, that presentation, work that all night, gets crashed in your computer, right? Shit’s not going to go well.
I promise you, as soon as you start winning.
Like, I don’t know if you believe, like, in heaven and hell or God and the devil, whatever religion might be, but if you believe good and bad, right? I believe this.
”¨”¨”¨I think, like, the devil don’t give a crap about you till you start winning.
If you’re just out there losing, he just lets you languish in that loserville.
Just languish out.
And the minute you start doing something good, you know what? He goes, I gotta stop this.
That’s when the transmission falls out.
The bottom of your car that’s when your phone falls into a puddle and dies on your way to an appointment, right? It’s when all that starts coming.
I gotta stop cursing.
If you’re on Keith, that makes me do that.
But all that stuff comes at you, that means you’re close to winning.
You got me? The harder it you’re close to winning.
It’s always dark as before the dawn.
You got to keep.
And don’t be afraid to fail.
John Maxwell wrote a bunch of books on leadership.
ӬӬӬMaybe the most important one was called Failing Forward.
Because that’s the only way you can take it to the next step.
You got to test your limits.
Fail, fall down, try again, get better.
See, it’s not okay just to fail.
You got to pick yourself up and say, what can I do better? Self improvement.
Come to events like this.
Talk to your upline, Study a little bit, do research.
Ellen Omar says, just figure out a way to become a master to products.
Learn your products, learn your stuff.
You’re a business owner.
Learn that kind of stuff, right? And then you got to do it again and you got to repeat it until you win.
You got to keep doing.
It’s not.
Look, it’s not easy, but it is pretty simple.
And I heard that from every speaker.
Diana Massey says it’s a simple program.
”¨”¨”¨But do you have what it takes to keep doing what you got to do? Now, listen, people think success is like this on the left, that it’s a straight line, but it’s really like the line on the right? And all.
You know what? All the people in the front who are killing it, they’re like, damn straight.
I remember all those curves.
I remember that backwards one.
I remember the slide down.
It’s like Chutes and Ladders.
Three steps forward, one step back.
Most millionaires have successful businesses.
They failed six or seven times before the one that finally put them over the top.
You know what school about Primerica? If you did this, it always works.
Primerica always works for the people who work it.
It’s not like we hope it could work right? You have an idea? ”¨”¨”¨I got a new app I’m trying to put out or a new business idea or a new restaurant you want to do.
You could be doing everything right, and those things could still fail.
If you come here and do everything right, you’re guaranteed success.
This is a proven system, period, bar none, where average and ordinary people can do something above average and extraordinary.
Okay, so listen, what is your before and after pick look like? It’s funny because Keith played this yesterday, but I chose a couple of pictures here.
Does it look like Jenny Escobar went from a student to 300 grand? Right.
How about David and Joyce Kim? 400,000 make 45.
Look at this.
Roy and Lipson, 400.
Carlos and Sarah, like they were babies.
They’re still babies.
Oh, the handsome guy.
Let me go.
Next one.
ӬӬӬRay and Carol quadrupled their income and increased their lifestyle.
Glenn and TMR used to make noise.
All right, all right.
I knew.
I met Glenn.
He was working in the AV room at the College of Staten Island.
Keith and I were doing meetings there.
He was making about 10 bucks an hour.
And we would go out like, the Chili’s afterwards, and he would have, like, nobody on his team.
And he’d go, I don’t think this is going to work for me.
I don’t think I could do this.
I’m like, bro, you got this.
You can do this.
I believe in you.
Like.
And it was all those talks that we had.
That’s why we have such a great relationship now after all those years.
Because you know what he did? He kept showing up, he kept asking questions.
He kept wanting to win.
”¨”¨”¨Now he’s dominating, kicking butt right now.
Chris H.
Chung, I love this guy, man.
We become good friends.
Chris.
Chris was, like, quiet.
He didn’t talk to nobody.
You think he doesn’t talk to nobody now? He used to talk to nobody.
I’d be like, hi.
You just shake his head.
And he went everywhere.
Ray went.
Ray was at this meeting.
He was at that meeting.
Ray went to this then.
He was.
He was everywhere with Ray, like, attached, at the hip.
Tony and Shelley loved these guys.
Came on board.
Just, you know, he was.
They were in financial ruin when they came to Primerica.
Totally turned that around.
And of course, Keith otto, struggling at 5 million a year income.
But look at the before and after picture.
Let me.
Let me tell you why I showed the before and after pictures.
ӬӬӬSome of you guys are looking to recruit the after pictures.
You got to recruit the before pictures.
When we look goofy.
We had no money.
We were this.
We didn’t know were doing which way is up, right? You’re looking for the polish.
These guys now live 30 years of conditioning and honing and perfecting their craft.
You got to look for the diamond in the rough.
The purchase wants to win.
Who’s got something inside? And just, please, I want to be somebody.
Just give me a chance.
I know I got what it takes.
If someone just gave me an opportunity, I swear to God, I would take care.
I would Take advantage of it.
So look at this guy.
Portrait of an achiever.
I don’t know if you get to see that, but this is Abraham Lincoln.
And in 1831, he failed in business.
ӬӬӬThen he lost an election for the legislature in 1835, his fiance died.
Then he was defeated in election 36.
He was defeated for U.S.
Congress in 43.
He’s defeated in U.S.
Congress in 46.
Defeated U.S.
Congress at 48.
Defeated for U.S.
Senate in 55, defeated for U.S.
President.
Defeated U.S.
Senate for 58.
You think he should have quit by then? Nobody wants you, Abe.
Nobody likes you.
Nobody’s voting for you.
Stop running.
But then he wins the presidency in 1860 and holds our country together.
He’s considered the greatest president we ever had.
Abraham Lincoln.
You cannot fail unless you quit.
You think you had some bad crap going on in your life? This is some bad crap right here.
Look, I’m a pretty persistent bastard and I ran for Congress once.
I’m like, I ain’t doing that again.
Eight times it failed.
ӬӬӬLike, what does he say? He looks in the mirror.
I’ll get him next time.
One more chance, one more chance.
Primarily, get a new chance every single month, every single appointment.
Everybody chose a new chance to build a brand new hierarchy, to find a brand new superstar, to get a new start on your team.
And look, success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
That’s the hardest thing for the leaders.
Every person you hire, you gotta act like it’s your first one.
Every person you sit down, it’s like it’s your first one.
You gotta, after 10, 15, 20 years, stay still, be excited every time you see somebody.
And I want to wrap up with this CEO story.
There was a company and all the employees didn’t like the CEO.
He was really strict.
He was like a disciplinarian.
ӬӬӬThey thought they were holding him back.
And one day they came to work and there was a sign on the door.
It says, the person who’s been holding you back passed away.
We’re going to have a funeral in the assembly room for him at 11 o’clock.
And for a while, they all felt so bad for his family.
But on the inside, they felt like, now I got a chance, I can really do something.
This company, I can really take it to the next level.
And when they walked in the assembly room, they saw the CEO was standing there.
It wasn’t him.
They’re like, who’s in the coffin? And one by one they went up there.
And as they looked into the coffin.
There was a mirror and they saw themselves.
And there was a sign next to the mirror.
”¨”¨”¨And the sign said, the only person who’s able to limit your growth is you.
Your life changes when you break through your limiting beliefs and realize that you are in control of your life.
Now you know what’s been holding you back from living your true potential.
Are you going to keep allowing a person to hold you back or not? I’m letting you know right now.
Look in the mirror, get rid of your limiting beliefs, start winning, and let’s go shock the world.
