Video Summary
Vision Creates Reality
John Cooper opens with gratitude for his family and coaches, emphasizing the power of mentorship and belief.
He shares the story of Walt Disney visualizing Space Mountain before it was ever built at Disneyland Park.
The lesson:
Great builders see it before others do.
Vision is not imagination — it is conviction about a future reality.
You Are Here On Purpose
John challenges the audience to recognize that being inside Primerica is not accidental.
This platform:
Teaches financial freedom
Develops entrepreneurs
Promotes unlimited income
Encourages personal growth
Unlike traditional employment systems that cap potential, Primerica teaches ownership and expansion.
Attitude Determines Destiny
You control two things:
Your attitude
Your activity
Mountains always include valleys.
When you’re in a valley:
It is not proof of failure — it is part of the climb.
Your attitude in the valley determines whether you reach the peak.
Energy introduces you before you speak.
In a people business, attitude attracts or repels.
Adopt The Owner Perspective
Borrowers think small.
Owners think long-term.
An ownership mindset changes:
How you speak
How you think
How you show up
Owners believe:
This is my platform.
This is my opportunity.
This is my promised land.
That belief creates magnetic energy.
Eliminate The Big But
One of the biggest vision killers is the word “but.”
Examples:
I want success, but I’m not skilled enough.
I want growth, but my best person quit.
I want freedom, but I had a setback.
Every “but” cancels belief.
Replace it with:
I can.
I will.
Words shape reality.
Success Is An Inside Job
Success is not external.
It begins internally — in mindset, identity, and belief.
You must become:
Obsessed with growth
Committed beyond comfort
Willing to be misunderstood
“Obsessed” is often what average people call dedication.
Shout Before The Miracle
Anyone can celebrate after success.
True builders:
Declare belief before results
Confront fear before breakthrough
Speak faith before evidence
Shout at the walls of doubt before they fall.
Faith precedes manifestation.
Unlimited Opportunity Platform
Primerica offers:
No capped commissions
No limited income ceiling
No corporate glass ceiling
It rewards vision, effort, and belief.
When you fully commit to the business, the business responds in kind.
Final Charge
Do not leave the event unchanged.
Adopt vision.
Control your attitude.
Increase your activity.
Speak possibility.
Think like an owner.
See your mountain before anyone else does.

Man, I’m so fired up to be here at the East Coast Builder school. And I want to thank my incredible wife for having me be here today. She’s back home with our four kids, navigating that crazy snowstorm up in Michigan. I also want to thank our head coaches, Mario and Franny Arizona. The last couple years that we’ve had the opportunity to work with them has just been absolutely life transformational. And it’s been the greatest thing that’s ever happened in our business. You got to have an amazing coach in your corner cheering you on. And I want to talk to you about vision. Say vision. So the story has been told that when Walt Disney was building the Magic kingdom, he would walk the property and he know, talk to his architects.
And there was a couple of times where he was sitting down at this bench, looking at this open plot of field, and every single day he would sit on this bench and he would just kind of look out. And finally one day, somebody comes up to him and says, walt, what are you looking at? There’s nothing there. He says, I’m looking at my mountain. And he would sit there day after day, and more people would come up to say, walt, what are you looking at? He said, I’m looking at my mountain. Well, years go by, and Walt passed away. And at the opening of Disneyland in California, they had this whole reception and all these dignitaries, mayors and governors and all that show up. And they called Miss Disney up, and they were opening the park, and they said, man, miss Disney.
It’s so sad that Walt never got to see Space Mountain. They did this in front of Space Mountain. And she said, I have to correct you. She said, walt had seen the mountain many times before. It’s you today who are just seeing it for the very first time. And I want to talk to you about vision, because it’s vision that really captures the heart of a man or a woman to go after their dreams and their goals. Vision is something inside of you that I believe that is deposited by God himself to wake you up in the morning, to keep you up at night, to get you excited about life again. How many guys are excited about life in Primerica? And see, you’ve got to have a vision. You’ve got to know what it is that you want.
Architect a plan to get there and execute that on every single day. Every opportunity that you have to cast a vision to yourself and to your team is how you’re going to grow this thing and see. Vision is all about. Know, somebody said yesterday, I think it was Noah, he said, you can control two things in this business. You can control your attitude and your activity. And, see, your attitude shows even when you’re not saying a word. Because let me tell you something. This isn’t going to be all rainbows and butterflies. Amen. You’re going to have some ups. You’re going to have some downs. How many of you guys know in every single mountain range, there’s valleys. In every single peak, there’s going to be a valley.
And in order to get to the mountain peak, you’ve got to go through the valley and see some of you today, right now, you’re in the valley of decision. You’re here today wondering, I wonder if this thing will work. I wonder if Primerica could deliver for me. I wonder if I actually go all in on this thing, that this thing will actually work. You’re in the valley of decision. And, see, your attitude and how you perceive this thing determines your destiny here. Your attitude. Say that my attitude determines my destiny.
And see, look, guys, when you’re going through that valley, when you’re maybe a little unsure about yourself, you’re a little unsure about the business, you got to not look at those problems as an opportunity to doubt, but an opportunity for God to show up in your life, for Primerica to show up in your life, for the business to show up in your life. And I believe that if you’re here and you hear the sound of my voice, you’re called to be here. You’re meant to be here, positioned to be here. You’re not just here on accident. You are here for such a time as this. A divine purpose. Because look at Primerica is unlike any other company. There’s not companies that are getting together at quarterly events like this all over the country, teaching them how to become multimillionaires.
You know what they’re teaching their employees to do? To be slaves to a system. We’re teaching you how to get free. I’m preaching the better. Some of you say an amen. Good preaching, John Cooper. Amen. Thank you. Okay. Sure. It’s quiet in this banker’s life meeting. What is going on here? Let’s go. Let’s wake up a little bit, right? You got to get excited, man. You got to wake up excited. You got to stay excited like R. Williams said. He said, nobody wants to follow a disillusioned Dagum crybaby. Man, you gotta tell your face you’re excited. Just like Coach Mario always says. He says your energy introduces you before you even open your mouth, before you say a word, people could feel your energy. Right? We’re in the people attraction business. What kind of attitude do you have?
Is it repelling people or bringing them to you? And, see, when you have a perspective, when you have a vision, you have a paradigm shift, and you have a shift from a borrower or, I’m sorry, from a borrower to an owner. Right? Say, owner. See, you got to have an owner’s perspective. And see, when you have an owner’s perspective, here’s what you know. You know, this is God’s best for my life. This is God’s promised land for my life. You have a different mindset. You think different thoughts. You speak different words. You have a different mindset, and people could feel that energy, and they want to be around that. And that’s how you keep people in your business.
Your attitude is the glue that cements it all together, where people feel that and they know they’re part of something special and they feel that from you. And, see, you got to have a nothing is impossible. You got to tap into the nothing is impossible network because that’s the business that you’re in. This is not a business of capped commissions. This is not a business of limited incomes. This is a business of unlimited opportunity. And see how many people are canceling out the vision for their life with the words that they say. And you don’t want to know what the biggest words that people say. I call it the big booty. You want to know what you say, coop? What are you talking about? The big butt. Say that with me. Big.
But how many people are canceling out the vision for their lives by using the big booty word? But I’m not skilled enough. But I’m not a good communicator. But I got that charge back. But my best person quit. But we got to eliminate the big bots out of our lives. Amen. You got to work that thing out, man. Right? Get in shape, do those glute things. I don’t know. Right. I don’t know what they do at the gym. Right? But you got to get the big bots out of your life and stop living with faithless vision. Right. We got to have God sized vision. Right. What kind of words are you sowing? Because our words are going to determine our destiny. We can never say the words. I can’t. We got to get that out of our vocabulary.
But I can make a million dollars a year. I can build a big team. I can have big influence. I can get financially free. I can retire my spouse. I can and I will. Say that with me. I can and I will. Say it again. I can and I will. Right. See, the words that you speak are shaping and forming the worlds that you live. Success is not something without you. It’s something within you. It’s an inside job. It starts in the heart and the mind and the soul of the man or the woman that’s possessed with a dream. And that’s what you have to become. You got to become obsessed. You know, obsessed is a word that the lazy used to describe the dedicated. You got to become obsessed about it. You got to become all consuming about it.
People got to call you nuts, they got to call you crazy. They got to say every manner and weird thing against you. That’s when you know you’re on the right track. That’s when you know the fire of Primerica and the crusade of it is alive in you. It’s not something dead. It’s not something dormant. It’s something that’s real. It’s tangible. In a world of fake news, let’s give them something real. Come on. I know it’s nine, but you got to get excited, man. Come on, right? And see. Guys, listen, in closing, you’re going to have some moments where you’re questioning everything. Can I do it? Am I good enough? Do I have a big enough dream? Do I have a big enough vision? Does my spouse believe in me? Do I believe in me? Can I deliver for my kids?
And then you’re going to have the moments of miracle moments. And let me tell you the truth, anybody could shout after a miracle. Anybody could shout after a miracle. But you know what you got to do in your life? You got to shout at the walls of doubt. Shout at the walls of fear, shout at the walls of unbelief, shout out at the walls of lack, shout at the walls of poverty. And you got to shout at those walls before those suckers fall down. Right? You got to shout down your walls in faith. And I’ll tell you what. Closing. When you give yourself to this business, Primerica and everything that it is, all the freedom, all the security, all the liberty, everything that it is will give itself to you. This is going to be the greatest event of your life.
Don’t leave here the same way that you came in. God bless you guys. Let’s do something big. My money. Don’t jiggle.
