Video Summary
From Nail Salon And Plumbing To Global Freedom
This powerful partner perspective shares what long-term commitment inside Primerica can truly create.
At 55, she reflects on how fast life moves and reminds the audience:
It’s not where you start.
It’s where you finish.
She and her husband began with:
A nail salon business
A plumbing career
No financial industry background
No knowledge of mutual funds
Thirty years later, their life looks completely different.
The 5 To 10 Year Game Plan
Success in this business is not instant.
It is a five to ten year vision.
During those early years:
Nights are sacrificed
Weekends are sacrificed
Vacations are delayed
Time feels stretched
But while you’re in the grind, you often don’t realize the weight of it.
The key message:
Work the business like you own it.
Because if you do, five to ten years from now, you will own your time.
Delayed Gratification Creates Lifestyle Freedom
There was a time when company-paid trips were the only vacations.
Today:
Multiple European trips in one year
Luxury travel without hesitation
A two-week trip to Japan planned without even reviewing the itinerary
Writing a $50,000 check for a trip without stress
The lifestyle shift is dramatic.
Not because of luck.
Because of long-term commitment.
Growth Beyond Money
One of the strongest themes in this talk is personal transformation.
She shares:
She was once shy
She never imagined speaking publicly
She never imagined living this lifestyle
But this business forced growth.
It develops:
Confidence
Communication
Leadership
Self belief
You may enter as one version of yourself.
You leave as a stronger version.
Full Time Changes Everything
When you no longer rely on a traditional job:
Your attitude shifts
Your energy shifts
Your time shifts
Your confidence shifts
There is a different level of appreciation and recognition in an entrepreneurial environment compared to traditional employment.
Respect feels different when you build it.
Bittersweet Transitions And Leadership Legacy
After four years building alongside an RVP team, she reflects on transition.
It is not the end.
It is the beginning of the next wave:
Future million dollar earners
New leaders rising
Expanded influence
True leadership multiplies.
Faith Over Doubt
Many people will tell you:
It’s not real
It won’t happen for you
It’s unrealistic
Ignore that.
If they had listened to that noise, they would still:
Own a nail salon
Be working plumbing jobs
Belief determines trajectory.
Attitude Attracts People
Energy matters.
People gravitate toward:
Positivity
Confidence
Stability
Winners
Your response to adversity shapes your influence.
When challenges happen:
Do you stay steady?
Do you stay positive?
Do you stay focused?
Your team watches your reactions.
Recruiting Changes Everything
Her direct advice:
If you want to change your life, go home and recruit.
Not casually.
Aggressively.
Momentum starts with people.
Recruiting is the engine of expansion.
Hard Work In Perspective
She reframes the definition of hard work.
Compared to:
Plumbing in freezing weather
Physical labor jobs
Dangerous public service roles
Building this business is demanding — but not physically punishing.
It requires discipline, not danger.
You Have The Right To Win
One of the most powerful lines:
“You have every right to become a millionaire.”
Dreams are not reserved for other people.
You were sent here for a purpose.
The only timeline that matters is the long game.
Core Lessons
Play the long game.
Five to ten years of focus can rewrite your future.
Protect your attitude.
Your energy builds or breaks your team.
Ignore small thinking.
Others’ doubt cannot define your outcome.
Recruit with urgency.
Expansion equals opportunity.
Stay the course.
Temporary struggle is not permanent failure.

You. Hey, guys. So, yeah, wow, 55 came really fast. I’m telling you guys in your 20s, you think, oh, it’s far, they’re old. Oh, hell, no. It goes, like, creeps up on you, and life goes so fast, it’s unbelievable. So it’s not where you start, it’s where you finish. And so that’s going to be my talk tonight, just to give you guys a little bit of hope. And for those that are new here, if this is your first event, we’re happy to have you. We just hope that you take what all the speakers say and apply it to your life. And I think that’s the greatest thing about this business, is that you can literally put anything that anyone says and apply it to your personal life and apply it to your business.
And everybody always asks me and us, what was it like when Keith was out every night working and how was it on you? So I’m just going to give you the partner’s perspective of it. And it’s not easy and it’s hard. But if I could say one thing, I really don’t remember that part of our life. I just think it’s just like everything else. You work hard for something, and while you’re doing it, while you’re in it, you don’t realize actually what you’re going through. And for the new partners, it’s going to be nights, it’s going to be weekends, it’s going to be vacations that you might not be able to go on right now.
But I promise you that if you work this business like it’s your own business, then you will have a million places to go in five to ten years from now. It’s really a five to ten year game plan, and you can’t judge everything on what’s happening now. I know when you’re in the thick of it’s really hard to vision your life, what it’s going to be like. So I just want you to think about what do you want out of this business? What are your goals and what are your dreams? And speak to your uplines. Find out what you need to do to get to where you want to be and never give up. Don’t give up that dream, because people will tell you it’s not real. This is never going to happen for you. Don’t believe them.
I’M here to tell you that it is real and that it did happen for us and that I owned a nail salon and Keith was a plumber. And now we live a life that people really only dream even. I just sent a text to my friend today, and I just said to her, I’m taking a vacation from vacationing because I can’t take any more vacations. I am literally vacationed out, okay? I don’t even know sometimes where we wake up, what room, what house we’re in, where we’re at. It’s ridiculous, but it’s true. When there was a time where we never took one vacation except for the company vacations, and I was thinking, like, wow, I love these company trips. They’re free. Everybody pays for everything. It’s so awesome.
But I want to be able to take a trip on our own and go to the five star hotels and take our friends with us and our family. And that was always my dream. And now I’m like, oh, my God, I need a break from that. But it’s awesome to say that. To be able to say that I actually need a break from vacationing, I mean, that’s a little crazy. But we’ve literally been to Europe, like, three times this year. I don’t even know where we’ve been. I really need to start writing it down because I don’t remember half the times. And Monday, we’re leaving for Japan for two weeks. And that’s been a really big dream of ours, to go to Japan.
And I don’t even know what we’re doing because I let two of my girlfriends do the whole trip, and all they said was, write me a check for $50,000 because that’s what it’s going to cost, and we’ll get you everywhere you need to go. And I was like, okay. And so that’s what I did. So I have no idea where we’re going. I even had to text the travel agent lady and ask her, am I getting picked up at the airport? Because I don’t even know where I’m going. And she’s like, don’t worry, I have it all written out for you. I mean, that’s just crazy, right? That’s just insane that you could go on a trip and you don’t even know where you’re going. You’re just going to get on a plane and go somewhere.
I just want you to know that I never thought my life could be like this. I just never thought. I thought that, know, crazy and insane. And as I was sitting there doing nails, thinking, what would my life be like if I had a different opportunity? And then when I met Keith, I still didn’t see it because I thought, oh, this is great. But I never even heard of a mutual fund. I don’t even know what the hell he’s talking about. We met 30 years ago. So a lot has changed in 30 years. I never thought I could speak in front of a room ever. I mean, I was so shy and I never thought that this would ever be my life. I would just sit on the side and just say nothing. But as you grow in this business, you grow personally.
And that’s what I love about this so much that it makes you become a better person. You could be a great person and this business will make you even greater. It will make your kids better. You’ll have a different attitude when you get home. You’re not going to be like working a job so that you’re not tied down to that. When it’s your time to come full time, your whole attitude will change because there’s no way you get the same respect at work as you get here. We’re actually happy to see you. We appreciate everything that you do. And speaking of appreciation, I just want to thank all the RVP team. It’s been a long haul, right? And we have been together four years. And like I said earlier, it is bittersweet that this is our last big meeting together.
But it’s not the end. It’s just the beginning for the next wave of people to become our million dollar earners. And we’re so excited about that. So excited to spend time with you guys and build up your business and it’s just going to be fun. So thank you guys for everything. For all your support, for all your love. I mean, I look at all you guys and I just think, wow, what would our life be like without you? I mean, it would know my life would suck without you. So I just thank you. Thank you so much. Thanks to Wilmen Rockel for always doing such a great job. And Arlinda, they really put the school together and we appreciate that so much. So listen, you guys can do this. You just have to have a little faith in yourself.
Just when things are getting really rough for you, just remember that you’re here for a reason and that you have every right to become a millionaire. You have every right to make your dreams and your wishes come true. Nobody should ever tell you that is for someone else. That you have no right to think like that. Because if were to listen to people that talk to us like that, we’d still own a nail salon and he’d still be a plumber, right? You have to think outside the box and know that you were sent here for a purpose, and maybe your team is not where you want it to be right now. Maybe you’re struggling a lot and people aren’t showing up when they say they’re going to show up and you have problems and another problem, but that doesn’t last, but your attitude lasts.
Your people see the way you respond to what’s going on in your life and in their life. And I know for myself, I’m attracted to people that have positive energy. I like to be around people like that. I know you know people because I know them, too. And unfortunately, they’re in my family. And when I see them, I think, oh, my God, thank God I’m not like him. And that’s my brother. It’s crazy how you could be so different. I love my brother, but we’re completely opposite. I just had like a birthday celebration in my apartment in the city and my sister in law was there and she’s like, your brother doesn’t even have two friends. You have 30 people here for you. And I’m like, and that’s just my New York friends. I had a whole different set up in Florida.
So I think you attract people because of the way that you are, and people respond to that. So think about that in your business. Think about that in your personal life. Everybody wants to be with a winner. Everybody wants to hear that they’re going to be great. Everybody wants to feel that, you know what? If I work really hard, I can get what I want out of this business. If I was you, I would go home and just start recruiting as much. I mean, just hit it running. Like, get out of here tomorrow and start. Change your life. Change your business. Start recruiting. That should be the motto for the weekend. If you want to change your life, you want everything that this business has to offer to you. Then you have to get out there and you have to go to work.
This is not a get rich quick scheme, and unfortunately, people think it is and then they leave because it’s really hard work. But it’s not as hard as getting up every day and going to work in the cold weather and being a plumber or being an electrician in a house that doesn’t have electricity yet and you’re freezing and sweating in the summer, that’s hard work. Getting on a garbage truck, like being a cop in New York City, that is hard work. That’s life threatening work. Okay, this is not. This is awesome, and this is easy compared to that, but you have to put it in perspective. It’s going to take you five to ten years. Don’t give up, don’t quit. And we’ll see you at the top. Love you guys. Bye.
