Um, but we want to recognize a couple of people before we get started, because, um, like, for instance, like Wendy Tavares, you know, great job.
Wendy got two division promotions.
Let’s give her a big hand, right? Then we got, uh, Cordell and Candace, the breakthrough team, man.
That team on fire.
That team is on fire right there, all right? And we want to recognize some divisions on the team.

So we definitely have to, you know, shout them out.
But, um, You guys, you guys got that slide for me, but uh, what I want to do kind of like just go over a little bit about my story as I’m going through this presentation right here.Um, but one of the things that we got really, really good at guys is I’m showing up and I’m pretty sure a lot of these guys were talking about it.
Um, but I remember there was times in my business or, um, you know, when I got started and even throughout my career where I was like, I didn’t feel like showing up.Anybody feel like that? Like, man, I don’t want to go to the, to this meeting.
But what we learned is that the most important meeting is what? The next meeting.
And if you’re excited, you gotta be at the next meeting.
And if you’re not excited, you still gotta be at the next meeting.
Does that make sense? So it says right there, right, it’s the lowest form of commitment.Showing up.
Um, like you guys did a great job today showing up and that’s what you want to do consistently.
We got so good at showing up that, you know, we didn’t miss any trainings and we still here.

Always have a goal of profession, a progression, right? A lot of times, um, you know, you feel like, you know, um, you’re, you’re kind of like stagnant.And the reason why is because you’re not getting better every single day.
Every single day you have to have a mindset where I got to get better some way, somehow, right? That’s why I like.
Self improving is so important.
Guys, I went to, I went to college for four years.
I was a school teacher and as a school teacher, even though I went to college, I was book smart supposedly.Right.
But no one told me I had to get better up here.
Right? So in this business, they’re completely like, I remember like it was yesterday, right? Joshua, they told us, man, that company is going to brainwash you.
I was like, man, if they brainwash me and I make 100 grand, 200 grand, half a million, I’m in.
Who’s in? Like, brainwash me all you want, right Josh? So, right, right Josh? So that was me, right guys? See, the next thing is you gotta have an attitude of gratitude, right? It says, man, it’s unbelievable sometimes, you know, you feel like, man, you know, I should be here, I should be there.
Yeah, but be happy where you’re at.Right, you gotta be where you’re at right now, but always remember that you’re gonna get better every single day, right? So you got to make sure you come back that negative thinking.
See, when you feel good about where you’re at sometimes, what happens is it comes back to that negative thinking that keeps creeping up.Anybody has creeping, you know, these thoughts in your head that sometimes it tells you you can’t do something? Anybody has that? Or this voice in your head, man, should I talk to this person? And then you have this negative person right here, this negative, the invisible guy, right? Telling you, nah, that person is good, that person is good, right?So you gotta somehow, someway, come back that negative thought, right? The next thing is, you, hard work is the greatest equalizer, right? Isn’t this awesome? Where it don’t matter where you’re at right now, if you start working in the business and you start doing what you’re supposed to do, Um, you can, you can, you start out working people and you start passing people.You start, you start realizing, man, just cause I’m doing the work, I’m so focused.
Like for instance, like if you have appointments and you just on the grind and you’re on appointments or you’re doing interviews, daily interviews, you have no, you have no negativity in your head cause you’re so focused on, on working.Does that make sense? That’s kind of like the attitude that you want to have, right? It says consistency.
Again, you will pass people, right? Every single day.
See guys, I was not good at anything, like right, even right now.
I’m not good at a lot of things, but I’m consistent, right? I’m so consistent, like I show up every day.I make calls every day.
I do what I got to do every single day.
When people take off, right? We learned this from Hector.
He said, oh, I got him.
I got him, you taking off, right? It’s easy to take off when it’s cold, right? But guess what? We still consistent, right? And we were consistent in the base and we’re gonna continue to be inconsistent, right?See, use your emotions as fuel, not as excuses.
I remember, right, where it was like, um, you know, again, you know, very emotional.
Anybody emotional? I want the only emotional, right? We all emotion.
Somebody told me the other day, man, you’re like a robot.
You got no emotions.
Of course we got emotions.
Even this morning I was going through it, but guess what?It didn’t matter.
I was like, man, it’s just, I’m just getting ready because this, this, this event is going to be the greatest event ever.
Right? So that emotion, I kind of bottled that up and I said, you know what? No, no, no.
I’m going to use it as fuel.
Does that make sense? See, the next thing is, only take advice.From those who have done it first.
It’s, it’s amazing to me how so many of us, um, we take advice from people that are not where we want to be.
Like, if they’re not making a six figure income, I’m not listening to them.
They might be good people, but I’m not listening to them.
If they’re trying to drag me out of this Primerica business, I’m not listening to them.I don’t care if it’s my brother.
I don’t care if it’s my sister.
I don’t care who it is.
If they’re trying to pull me away from this opportunity, I’m not listening to them because they don’t have what I want.
So if they don’t have what you want, why do we keep looking left? We keep looking right.
Like some people right now, they might be sitting in your seat.They might be right next to you.
They’re like, man, I can’t wait for this event to be over, right? Like I can’t wait.
Why are you listening to those people? And when you get to the bottom of it and you’re like, man, I can’t, I gotta be grounded.
Like one of the things we did is, uh, we were grounded to this business.We didn’t look left.
We didn’t look right.
We burned all the, all our bridges and most people, right? What happens is they have options.
And you start looking around.
Oh, maybe I could do this.
Maybe I could do that.
You know, IG is paying money, right? I could do this, I could do that, right? And you start looking for different options.And what happens is, you know, you get distracted from your goals, which is the six figure income contract, the RVP contract.
You get distracted because you feel like, man, you know what, maybe I could do this part time.
Or I could do this part time.
Or if Primerica don’t work out, I could go back to school.Right.
Um, nothing wrong again, nothing wrong with school, but you know, when you continue to look for other options, you’re going to miss your target.
And I was like so focused, even to this day, right? We’re so focused on what we want that no one, I don’t care who it is, no one’s going to take us off the target.See, Chris Torgue has a game plan that all the RVPs are going to a million dollars.
Why am I going to listen to other people? I don’t know.
I’m going to stay on track.
I’m going to do whatever it takes, right? Every single day, we’re going to get better.
Every single day, we’re just going to get better and get better and get better.And we’re not looking left.
We’re not looking right, right? We’re just staying on target.
We’re staying on it.
Now, if I ask you, right, like for instance, tomorrow, right? Everybody’s going to be excited today.
Right.
Anybody excited right now? Right? You’re gonna be excited.
You’re gonna be like, Man, I’m gonna take over the world.You know, I’m gonna recruit so many people.
You know, I got all the nuggets.
I got all the motivation, right? And then tomorrow comes and you get that first no.
You got that first dark house.
How you gonna react? When reality sets in after this event, right? Cause, You know, there’s something that’s called problems, right?Or issues.
After this event, you might still have them.
How you gonna react? Are you gonna be like some people, me and Wendy joke around.
Anybody go to church? I’m not trying to get religious, right? But people go to church, man, and they’re so good, they’re so nice at church.
And then they’re like, so different.
It’s like, wait, you’re supposed to be a church person.
What’s going on? Anybody seen those people, right? And you know, right here, right? And that’s what happens in Primerica, right? You get, you know, you get a no, you get a dark house, right? Um, how are you going to act? Are you going to continuously keep fighting for your goals?Or are you just going to say, you know what, it’s not going to work out.
Maybe only for the RVPs it worked out.
By the way, nobody’s lucky.
Nobody’s lucky.
People just do a couple things that you’re not doing right now.
That’s all it is.
No one’s, everybody here is special.
Right, but when it comes to doing the daily activity, which is the recruiting, see the appointments, right, the closing, the getting IBAs, the getting referrals, the calling the referrals with the client, right, the closing premium, or get, or, or, or field training, when it comes to those things, do you constantly get better at those, and do you actually execute?There’s a lot of people that they know, I remember one guy, he knew all the recordings, Josh.
All the recordings, he knew everything that it was saying, but he didn’t do it.
He didn’t do it.
There’s so many people that are book smart, right? But when it comes to Primerica, if you ain’t doing the work, Primerica’s not gonna work for you.See, Primerica works if you work.
If you don’t work, it’s not gonna work.
It’s the best opportunity in the world if you work it.
Primerica.
Right? It’s the best opportunity in the world.
And guess what? There’s nothing to me.
I’m honestly, I’m convinced, right? I’m convinced that there’s nothing else out there that’s better than Planned America.They take the average person, right? A person who doesn’t think that they believe on themselves, or they don’t think that they can do it.
And all of a sudden, you know, you get, you get transformed into a person that, you know what? Yeah, I could do it.
And you start working, you start getting better.
And it can happen for you.See, we’re not even close to where we want to be, but we’re so convinced once we made that decision that we were not going to listen to anybody, if they’re not making more income, if they’re not showing us the way, like who was the last person that showed you, you know, how to make a million dollars? Who was the last person that taught you, you know, how to make a hundred grand or 200 grand?We don’t have those people guys, but Primerica does.
And the leaders up here, they doing the work.
And all we gotta do is follow.
What we gotta do is execute the plan.
The plan is already set.
Again, you just gotta execute it.
Right? Primerica works if you work.
If it, like, I’ll never forget one of my cousins, right?This is being recorded.
She’s like, yeah.
One of my cousins said, well, Primerica is commissioned.
I’m like, what, you scared of commission? She’s like, yeah.
We don’t talk no more.
Cause honestly, right? If you’re working, it’s gonna work.
