Before we start, I just want to give a shout out to the leadership we have here. Like all the, you know, $100,000 plus, we got the best leadership in America. I truly believe that. Also shout out to Kitaro and Daniel Arrow, Sara and Carlos Salazar, David Kim and Joyce Kim, right? The reason I want to give them a shout out like, those guys, man, they so patient with us. You know, when you start having kids, you start realizing how tough it is to be a parent, right? Now, try Paul America. Try recruiting a bunch of people where you see potential in them and they’re not moving at the speed that you want them to, right? You know, you can easily blow them out of the business.
So when it comes to the leadership here, that’s one of the things I appreciate with, you know, Carlos, Sarah, David and Joyce for their patience for sticking with us all those years. Makes sense, guys, because we still have a lot to learn, right? So a little bit about myself. My background is I went to school for accounting. I was an accounting instructor at Nassau Community College, right? And let’s just say I was the perfect recruit for America. What I mean by that is I was recruited by my younger brother before he even recruited me. I was the guy that was telling him, this thing is a pyramid scheme. Stay away from those people. They brainwashing you. You need to go to school. Because that’s what I knew. In order for you to succeed, you gotta go to school.
You know, get your doctorate degree, get your PhD, right? That’s the only way to make it. Now imagine being in a business like this, right? And he’s talking about, oh, I’m in business, but you don’t have an mba. What do you mean? You’re in business, right? So that was my thought process. How many of you ever try to sit down with somebody and tell you, oh, it’s a scam, it’s a pyramid. Anybody meet those people? That’s me. That was me, right? So my brother Kennethesa, shout out to him, Diesel fluent. He’s actually here, right? So he can tell you, hey, listen, I was the last person you would ever thought would ever join this business. Now think about that for a second, right? Now, what transpired from that is okay. Watching him. Because even though.
And when I say I used to try to discourage him from doing the business, I used to call my friends, try to get them to come over the house to tell him, hey, listen, they’ll tell him, hey, I tried this thing. It didn’t work. Like, you’re wasting your time. You need to Go back to school. Because he actually left pharmacy school to do the business. So to me, I thought this kid lost his damn mind, right? Why would you leave pharmacy school where you can make a six figure income to go do a pyramid scheme, right? Because I was in education. But anyway, so watching him developing, changing, and what I used to do was I used to just go to work, come home, right? In the afternoon, let’s just stay home, watch tv, right?
And then on the weekends, go party with my friends because I thought I was doing okay, right? With an accounting degree. All right? So watching him changing, become a different person. So I started being curious. And I remember one time he was at home and at the time we lived together. So I went to his room, I’m going through his stuff, I see he had a bunch of life insurance applications. And back then, guys, we used to do paper application too, right? There was no zoom back then. Okay, so we’re talking about 2012, right? So, and I saw he had life insurance application on his bed. So I’m like, wait, why he has all this life insurance application? So when he came home later that night, I asked him, I said, what are you doing with those policies? Like I’m in life insurance application.
And that’s when he say, well, that’s what I do. I’m licensed to do insurance. I’m like, wait, you have an insurance license? Guys, I, I kid you not, I had no idea parameter did life insurance. I had no idea PawAmerica did investments. That’s how ignorant I was. Because I never gave him a chance to even find. All I know is it’s one of those things, you recruit people, ride the guy on top, make all the money, stay away from them, they brainwashing. But, but anyway, long story short, so I got curious that night to find out a little bit more about what is it that he was doing with Prime Record. So he introduced me to the trainer that was training him. And thank God everything happened for a reason. So the person that was training him happened to be an accountant.
She went to Baruch, got her accounting degree. So when she sat down with me, she told me that, first thing I thought, okay, so if she has a degree in accounting and she’s doing this. So let me hear more. So she started showing me what Promica does. Guys, I was blown away because I had no idea all the different things that we do. So actually became a client. First she helped me open a ira, right? So once I became a client, I started referring people to Diesel and herself. So I started doing that and eventually my brother asked me one day, hey, listen, you keep referring all those people. Why don’t you just do the business, right? And my thought process was like, no way. Because I’m not a good. I’m not a salesperson. I don’t like talking to people.
I don’t have that kind of personalities, right? And eventually what happened was he said, hey, but you’re doing the business for free anyway because you fire all these people because you want to help them out. Why don’t you just get your license and get started? So that’s how I ended up putting my IBM and get started. Now, what saved me after I did that was the second part, which blow me away. They say, hey, listen, once I get licensed, anybody I introduce to the opportunity, I help them get their licenses. They help people. Prime Maker pays them, Prime Maker pays me. And I started thinking, oh, my God, I have an accident. I’m gonna look for a bunch of, you know, people that speak better than me, that look better than me, and override them. And to me, that’s the hope.
So, guys, what we do, we sell hope, right? So if I can do it, anybody can do it. Because before committee, I had no people skills, no leadership skills. It was just like, all I had to do was follow the system. That’s it, right? So, guys, hopefully something I said today can inspire somebody, right? Because if I can do it, like I said, anybody can make it here. And right now, the best as yet to come, right? So let’s bring back Kitaro.
