Video Summary
Tariq Bailey challenges agents to evaluate how seriously they are treating their opportunity. He emphasizes that success starts with thinking big and understanding concepts like passive income. Unlike traditional employment, building a business allows income to grow beyond personal effort.
He highlights the importance of self improvement, recommending foundational financial and mindset education to shift from employee thinking to business owner thinking. The key difference, he explains, is system ownership. Employees and self employed individuals trade time for money, while business owners and investors leverage systems.
Tariq warns against “winging it.” The business has nearly five decades of proven structure built around simple fundamentals: recruit people, train them, get them licensed, and develop leaders. Trying to create new systems or avoid guidance slows progress. Instead, follow the direction of experienced uplines and leadership.
He stresses the importance of staying connected. When results are strong, the meeting needs you. When results are weak, you need the meeting. Pulling away during difficult moments only delays growth. Merging closer with leadership helps navigate obstacles.
Ultimately, he reinforces that mastery of fundamentals drives long term freedom. Recruiting, prospecting, field training, and overcoming objections are not optional skills. Treat the business seriously, follow the system that works, and build not just for today but for future generations.

Let me let this rip real quick. So how are you thinking about your Primerica opportunity? So as Coach Otto just talked about, you know, there’s people out there that they look like they got things going on the outside, but on the inside, it’s a completely different picture. True or true? Right. And so what I wanted to talk about today was how are you thinking about your Primerica opportunity in the sense that are you treating this like an opportunity where it can actually become something big for you? Right. And give me one second here. I’m sorry. Click to the right. Think big. You know, when I was first introduced to this opportunity, they talked about making passive income, right? And I didn’t understand what that was until, you know, you start hanging around and you realize what is passive income, right?
So passive income is when you make money and you’re not working for it and. Right. And most of us don’t have that opportunity when we’re working a 9 to 5, right? When you’re working a 9 to 5, you’re working for somebody else. You’re creating their dreams, you’re creating their goals until age 65. Right? And in order for you to think big, you got to improve the way that you’re thinking. Can we agree? Right. So self improving is super important in this business. And you’ve got to self improve. No one else can self improve you. You got to self improve you. Some of the books that I recommend, guys, if you’re brand new, if you’ve been in this business for less than 30 days or 60 days, 90 days, get this book called Think and Grow Rich.
The title is called Think and Grow Rich, not Work Hard and Grow Rich. Right? And the other book I recommend you guys to get is called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It talks about the cash flow quadrant, right? And that’s something guys that we’ve really got to sell people on the understanding of why are we doing this business? See, on the left hand side of the cash flow quadrant, you got the employee and the self employed position, right? And a lot of people who think they’re self employed think they got it going on because they can make a lot of money. Doctors, lawyers, dentists, hairstylists, salespeople like myself. But they don’t have a system like Primerica where you can be a business owner for $99 and a $25 overhead, right.
And create an unlimited income stream like our great coaches Keith and Danielle, where you can make more money in one month than you do working an entire year at a job. You agree with that, right? And then you can now become an investor. You know, you heard what Danielle talked about with that incredible lifestyle that they have, going to places that people only dream of, right? And Primerica could make that dream become a reality if we’re thinking big. Can y’all agree with that business owner? Okay, Focusing on being a business owner, focusing on being an investor. See, business owners and investors, they don’t think the same. They don’t talk the same, right? Guys, hindsight is 20. Everybody could look in the past and say, I wish I woulda, coulda, shoulda, right?
In Primerica, we’ve gotta have foresight about not where we’re at, but where we’re headed, right? And the only way you’re gonna know where your head is by following your uplines, following your coaches, right? You gotta follow a system, okay? That works for you. Everyone has a different approach to Primerica, but the Primerica System is still the same. We gotta recruit people. We gotta get them trained, we gotta get them licensed, we gotta get them developed so we can create freedom. True or not true, right? Y’all with me, guys? Y’all so quiet. Business owners and investors are systematic, right? We got to always make sure that we’re using a system. Don’t. Pioneer of Minefield. Gosh, if I could tattoo this on my head and have people like they’re brand new, read it all the time.
Because sometimes people come in with backgrounds and, you know, like Roy said, I’m educated. I know what to do, and so on and so forth. And this business has been around for almost 50 years with simple business concepts and solutions that work. Right? Follow what your uplines, follow what your RVP’s are telling you what to do. All right, we just got some incredible gems and nuggets from the speakers that was here before, guys actually use them, right? Follow and cheerlead the system. Okay? What is the system? Whatever your RVP tells you is part. You know what to do, okay? And most importantly, right? Be a part of the system. You know, one of the things that I see people do in this business is when things aren’t going right, things aren’t happening, you shy away from your uplines, you shy away from your rvp.
That’s when you’re supposed to merge with your upline. That’s when you’re supposed to be with your upline the most, right? Because they’re gonna help you navigate that minefield, right? Y’all follow. See, when things are going great, guys, the meeting needs you. When things. When you’re. When things are rocking. You’re getting recruits, you’re getting sales, you’re getting people going. You’re getting pretty. The meeting needs you. And when things aren’t going right and when things aren’t going the way you want, that’s when you need the meetings. True or not? True. I hope this meeting is helping some of you guys here today. All right, and last but not least, guys, master the fundamentals of this business. You know, the great Hector Lamar said there’s seven fundamentals of the Primerica business, right, guys? Recruiting, prospecting, field training, overcoming objections, etc. Etc. Guys, take your business serious. Okay?
Why are we here? Why did you decide to put $99 or whatever it is that you paid 199 for some of these people who’s been here before, why did you make that decision? Why? When you went to a meeting, someone said, hey, listen, if you don’t change your life, right, if you don’t do something different in the next five years, they’re going to be looking the same like the last five years. Can we agree, Right, guys? And so that’s why we here. That’s why we’re here. We’re here to make a difference not only for ourselves, but our future generations and those to come. Guys, thank you guys so much. See you guys at the top. Great job.
