Video Transcription:
So last time we had this school, I was talking about my story, like, just kind of how I got started right after college, working with dad full time.
And I, you know, my thing is I just want to build something for myself.
Like, obviously, you know, growing up was phenomenal with my parents giving me the lifestyle, my sister the lifestyle, and that’s kind of what I wanted.
I want to build that for myself so I can do that for my future kids.
I always tell them that I don’t want to piggy bank off their business.
I want to build something that’s mine that, you know, that my children would be proud of and my future family and stuff like that.
So, you know, I just want to talk about the scheduling that we’ve got going on and talk about the importance of that.
But first off, if I was brand new, and I was 10 months ago, right? If I was brand new, what would I do in my first 30 days? What would my first 60 days look like? And I see a lot of people, you know, put their IBA in and they’re, you know, they want to take it slow and everyone goes at their own speed.
But if you’re someone who’s curious and ambitious and you really see what, you know, there see some big businesses being built here, and you want to build something for yourself, first thing I do is obviously, you know, getting licensed, and if you’re not already licensed, go get your license.
We got to, you know, we got to get paid, right? We got to have a license to be able to do that.
But I’d abuse my trainer’s time.
Absolutely.
Work them silly.
Like, the first three months I started here, all I did was take my dad out on appointments.
We did so many overviews, we did so many kitchen tables, so many presentations, so many meetings, ton of stuff.
And it was overwhelming in the beginning, but it’s great.
You know, you load up that information, you get confident every time you see it.
It’s like listening to a song over and over again on repeat and just learning the words to it.
And that was, you know, my dad shaking off the dust on the old notebook.
He hadn’t done it in 26 years, but in the three months that we got started, a meal, he did more presentations than, like he says, than the first, you know, the last 26 years combined.
So it was a lot in a little bit of time, which is awesome for me.
But I always recommend that, like, if somebody got started, go take your trainer out and do as many appointments as you can, like, literally use their time, because they’re working for you until you tell them you don’t need their help anymore.
And that people think that time is.
You know.
The trainer wants to put the most amount of effort into somebody who’s putting the most amount of effort into, you know, getting going and getting started.
Wanting to get this thing rocking.
And so they’re gonna.
They’re gonna take you out on the field.
They’re gonna put their full effort into you.
If you’re willing to be coachable, be a student of the game.
Just like in sports, you watch film.
Like football.
I played football right back.
All these sports, you.
You watch these guys watch film.
They want to improve.
They want to learn.
And in Primerica, we have the same thing.
We have access to film that other companies don’t have.
Like, we’ve got Pol.
We’ve got On Demand.
We’ve got videos and websites.
Of people doing trainings and stuff.
The information’s there.
I know when you guys got started, that wasn’t a thing like, you have to drive, Carlos.
We were talking about the tolls and stuff like that.
You’re driving 40 minutes just to go see if the guy’s home to do a presentation or not.
Now we get online.
And it’s so easy for us to be able to learn the stuff.
But it’s also easy not to.
It’s also easy not to get on Pol and not to learn the information and stuff.
So I challenge you.
If you really want to get this thing going.
Don’t let the business come to you.
Start attacking it.
Start really getting this stuff down.
Watching the film, watching the videos, watching yourself record yourself.
And let your trainer watch you, see how you’re doing and get activated with it.
So I’ll tell you a little about my schedule and Wadley.
You put up everything I needed.
That schedule you put up was perfect because that’s.
You don’t have to copy Wadley’s personality.
Every single time he gets up and speaks.
It’s like someone gave him a shot of adrenaline.
Right before he got up and talked.
You don’t have to copy that.
We’re not gonna be able to copy each other’s personalities.
And our credibility.
And all this stuff that we bring to the table.
But what wildly put up with the schedule, right? That’s something that somebody can copy.
That’s duplicatable, right? Wadley can go teach somebody how to put together a schedule for themselves.
And be.
Be consistent with it.
That’s the only thing that you can teach someone how to do.
Is put together a Schedule and stick to it.
So I’ll tell you a bit about my schedule.
I’m not getting up at 4am and doing devotionals, but I’m getting up 6:36:30, I’m going to work.
And now I’m eating, I’m at the office by 10, from 10 to 12, we’re doing sets, we’re setting up appointments.
We don’t, we’re not on, we’re not answering text messages or calls from people.
We’re setting up appointments, we’re prospecting, we’re on social media, we’re on, we’re texting, we’re calling, we’re making stuff happen, stirring up activity for the day.
And then that, you know, that’s lunch after that and we’re act just like wild beast, put up one to five.
That’s out in the field, prospecting, doing the one ones, doing the interviews, orientations, all that stuff.
From there on out, it’s calling teammates, it’s getting kitchen tables done.
If we have meetings that night, it’s meetings.
And that’s a consistent thing every single day.
Right? You’re not, if you’re, if you’re off, if you’re like wildly says, you know, I want to show up to the office today at 3 and then tomorrow I’m there at 6am and then I’m there at 7pm and it’s like nobody on his team is going to be able to watch that and duplicate him.
Like, if he’s doing that, then they’re going to do that.
You got to be doing something that other people can replicate.
As long as you’ve got new directs and new teammates, you’re gonna have activity going on.
We’re in the office all day long and we love to be.
Because we have stuff to do.
Because as long as you’re stirring stuff up, as long as you got someone brand new who’s excited, getting going on the field and you’re out taking them out on appointments, you’re gonna have so much stuff to do and so much activity to do.
And being in that office is contagious.
Now it’s me.
Where’s that clicker that you were talking? Here it is.
Put that picture up.
So I got to the office the other day at 8am and then this is Hogan and I studying for our securities, and I just finished the securities presentation.
This is at at night.
So we’re, you know, it’s not an everyday thing.
Maybe not till midnight, staying in the office, but, you know, those before and after pictures where, like, people show, you know, we’re in the trenches till 10 o’clock at night.
And then the next photo is, like, Willie Naranjo’s office.
It’s like a thousand people rolling around.
Well, this is still the before.
This was two nights ago.
So we’ve got a lot of work to do.
But work, it’s contagious.
If this was just me in the office by myself, how easy is it for me to just stay at home and, like, you know, I don’t want to go.
There’s no one there anyway.
I might as well just work from home.
Get in the office and you’ll build that, like, momentum.
Like, we’ve got to get more people into that office.
I know you guys talked about the Ortiz brothers, the family.
They got 50 people like us that are in the active.
Activated in the office every single day.
That’s our goal.
And we see that.
We want that for ourselves.
We got to do that first and duplicate it and let other people see that we’re pushing for it and then get to the office, guys.
That’s basically everything I’ve got.
Yeah.
All right, let’s go.
