What’s up, Tampa Bay leadership school? What’s up? Wow.
Oh, my gosh, y’all.
This is amazing.
Oh, my God.
Everybody’s looking so good, right? Yeah.
Wow.
You guys like top tier.
Let’s go.
Can I get another screen? One more time.
Let’s go.
All right.
Wow, guys, you know what? Wow.
I’m blown away, y’all.
If anybody would have ever told me in March when I started this business, when I came to my first Tampa Bay leadership school that I’d be up here speaking to you guys tonight, I definitely wouldn’t have believed anybody.
This is amazing.
And that’s the beauty of primerica.
Can I get an amen in this business, y’all? So theme of this Tampa Bay leadership school is getting in the game.
So Natasha and I wanted to talk to you guys about how we got in the game and why we got in the game and how we applied it to our business.
Okay? So, guys, take a lot of notes.
We’re super excited.
Coach, go ahead, take it.
Can you guys hear me? Okay? This is good.
Can you guys hear me? So thank you guys so much.
My name is Natasha Muniz.
I’m a regional vice president out of the Ortiz hierarchy.
Before I get started, I really want to take a second to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Without him, I am really nothing.
Yeah.
I want to thank my mentors, our head coaches, Ed and Yvonne Ortiz, Jason and Jackie, Eric and Brynn.
There’s really no amount of words that I could use to express how grateful I am.
Know, the love that they give us, the environment that they provide.
To all of know, I’m just so grateful.
I want to give a huge shout out to the powerhouse, my team.
I love you guys.
And I want to give a huge shout out to Ashley Cooper for being on stage with me.
She started nine months ago.
She’s one of my best friends in life.
She’s a beautiful woman.
She’s a great mom, a great leader, a great.
I just.
Before I get started with our presentation, I just really want to take a second know for her to share her story on how she got in the game and how she got started and how her life has changed since nine months ago when she made a decision to say yes to this amazing opportunity.
So, Ashley, if you want to go ahead and.
Hear me, awesome.
So, guys, my name is Ashley Cooper.
I am from the Tampa Bay area, but I now live in Savannah, Georgia.
And I have been in the business now for nine months.
And, guys, I basically got in this business just like everyone in here, I wanted to make know, but I also was looking for something else, which I’m sure all of you guys were looking for as well, which was an opportunity, okay? So when God brought this opportunity to my attention, I definitely took advantage of it, okay? So when I got started, you all started part time in the business, completely blinded, had no idea what I was walking into.
And one of the first things I did when I signed my iba was I was calling natasha every day, three to four times a day, blowing her phone up.
I was very hungry.
I was very eager to learn.
I wanted to know everything.
I was like, what do I need to do to get out of how I’m living? So let me backtrack.
My background is the hospitality industry.
So I was in the restaurant for 15 years, and I really got burnt out and tired of being comfortable, okay? I was living in the same routine, living paycheck to paycheck, and I got burnt out.
I didn’t want to go back to college.
I didn’t plan on going back to school, and I was like, what am I going to do? I’m a single mom.
You’re not going to graduate from college.
You hate school.
There’s something else out there, okay? So I came into the business part time, and I made it a valid point to be very coachable to Natasha again.
I called her multiple times a day, probably got on her nerves a little bit, blew her phone up, and I asked a lot of questions, okay? I was super eager to learn.
So, y’all, after that, I found key players, okay? I found people that were like me, okay? People that wanted to win, people that were coachable, people that were open minded, and they wanted to learn more, okay? So I found my key players, and what I did was I duplicated myself into them, okay? I found them, and I taught them what my coach taught me, okay? This is a duplicative business, all right? And then once I did that, guys, I started building relationships with them, okay? Solid, solid relationships.
It’s extremely important you all, that you guys build relationships with your team in the business and outside of the business, and you guys want to make sure that you guys are working with the 20% of people that want to do it and not the 80% that don’t, okay? Not everyone’s like you guys, and not everybody wants to win like us.
And that’s one thing I started doing.
I found my key players, and I worked with the ones that wanted to win and wanted to do this.
I quit my job in June.
I went full time I made nine grand my first month.
Let’s go.
So we’re going to talk to you guys about a couple of things.
Okay? And the first is going to be putting God first.
God needs to be put first.
Your lord and savior Jesus Christ needs to be put first if you want to be successful in anything.
Okay? Go ahead, coach.
Yeah.
So the first thing.
So I’ve been working with Primerica for now about six years, and last year I would say that some of you guys that have seen me come from tbls to tbls, I would say that last year was like my weakest year.
I felt so lost.
I was a mess.
Life was know.
And I decided to make a decision back in January.
I said, you know what? I am done.
Know, whatever I had going on, whatever thoughts, whatever beliefs I didn’t have, and I said, let me just find out.
Let me find out about this Jesus thing that everybody is talking about.
And I made a decision to put God first in everything that I do.
I got baptized.
My head coaches came, and it’s just been a journey.
I’m still growing.
I’m still learning a lot.
But I’m telling you, it’s just different when you have God’s presence in your life.
It’s a different type of confidence where you just know that you just can’t fail no matter what you do, because there’s somebody that’s always by your side, that always has your back.
So I remember one time I was crying because I was like, I’m not even qualifying.
It’s January.
I’m not even having a hard time hitting 10,000 in premium.
And I was like, God, just please bring me the right people.
I want to work with some hard workers, go getter great people that are just like me.
And then right after that, I met Ashley Cooper, who, she totally ignored me, like, a lot of times, but I always say her ignore game was strong, but my persistency was stronger.
So she finally joined the business, and the business just exploded.
In July, we did 100 x 50,000 in premium.
And it’s just amazing what you can do when you put God first in your life and then you start attracting the right people.
So the second thing that you have to do to get in the game is that you have to work on your mindset.
Do you want to say anything about God first? Go ahead.
Okay.
I think it is so silly.
I used to tell people all the time, like, oh, I love science.
I’m going to study neuroscience this year, and I’m going to learn everything that I need to learn about the brain, and people will look at me crazy like, what are you talking about? Just get to work, shut up kind of type of thing.
And I’m telling you, I think it is so silly to not want to learn about how your brain works.
Your mind, to want to raise your awareness to get in the game.
You guys, you guys have to self develop.
The people that make it here, they’re the ones that are listening to the audios, reading the books, always working on becoming a better version of themselves.
Thomas Edison said many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to their dreams.
And I think that is so crazy, because if we just pick up a book and read ten pages every day, your awareness is going to go so much higher, and you’re going to be able to realize that you’re at the perfect place, the perfect time.
It’s the perfect opportunity, and you have the right people to back you up.
You guys got to know that it always has to be mind over matter.
Your environment, you have to be greater than your environment, and you have to be greater than the emotional habits and the addictions of your body.
What I mean by that is this.
When you’re tired, it doesn’t mean go home and go to bed.
It means, hey, stay at the office.
If you didn’t send the messages, if you didn’t book the appointments for the next day, it doesn’t matter what’s going on in my environment.
It doesn’t matter how my body feels.
It’s always mind over matter.
I got to get the job done, okay? And everything is energy, guys.
Everything is energy.
Energy creates all matter.
What’s matter? Where you’re sitting on, the people that are next to your body, your whole life.
Okay? So fix your energy.
If you’re ever feeling like I’m not in the game, I’m not doing the things that I’m supposed to be doing, and I’m not getting the results that I want, then the first thing that you need to check is your mindset, and you have to fix your energy.
Next thing I want to talk to you guys about is developing, becoming leaders.
Leadership in this business is extremely important.
Guys, the first thing I want to talk to you guys about is leadership is not about you.
It’s about your people, okay? Your people come first.
Leaders are not all about themselves, okay? So leadership is about your people and not just you.
Next thing is, don’t take your platers for granted.
Don’t take advantage of them.
Don’t just use them for work.
Build a relationship with them, build a bond with them.
Okay? Treat your people good when you’re in a leadership position.
Next.
Do it first.
No one follows leaders who ask others to do what they won’t do themselves, okay? When you are a leader, you need to do it yourself and set the example.
Okay? So work with your key players.
And I think I mentioned this earlier.
Out of the people that want to work with the 20% that do and not the 80% that don’t.
And in good time or bad times, a leader always keeps the organization moving, constantly building activity and leading them from the front.
Okay? In good or bad times, as a leader, Guys, you can’t get emotional.
You can’t be negative to your downline, okay? We should always have a smile on our face, lead from the front, and set an example.
Build quality, people.
Okay? Quality is more important than anything else in building a business that will last, okay? You got to go through the quantity to find the quality.
Am I right? Absolutely.
Okay, next.
It’s more important to concentrate on people’s strengths than to criticize their weaknesses.
Praise and recognition are the most powerful forms of motivation, guys.
Sometimes as leaders, we get so discouraged and frustrated with people that aren’t doing as we ask or their performance isn’t high.
And what you need to recognize when you’re in a leadership role is you have to just recognize and concentrate on their strengths.
Okay? Give them recognition.
Give them praise for what they are doing, not what they’re not doing.
All right? So go ahead, coach.
And then the last thing that we want touch on and we really focus on in our team, the powerhouse, is that everybody has to get licensed in the first 14 days and do their three by three.
So right away, how we build a lot of activities.
So, number one, we put God first, then we work on our mindset, because we understand that if we don’t have the right mind, then how are we going to grow a business? Number three, we also understand that, okay, I’m in a people’s business, so I got to learn how to lead these people so that they can accomplish their goals and dreams.
But number four, okay, well, how do we do it in Primerica? How do we get in the game and get our people off to a fast start? You got to focus on talking about that three by three.
Right away we tell our people, look, you got to do three by three in the first three days, and you got to get licensed in the first 14.
So how do we do it is we have a system in place.
As soon as we submit that iba, we schedule their fingerprints right away and we register them for class.
We don’t even play about it.
It’s like, you have to get this done if you want to work with us, okay? We set expectations that are very high within our office.
And after we get our people trained, and after we get our people licensed and we have them do their three by three, we do PDR, which we learned from all of the amazing rvps, from the aviator hierarchy, legacy intensity, dream chasers.
And that has totally changed our business because what’s happening now is that we’re duplicating so much faster and we’re able to really get in the game.
Okay.
Some of the things that I always say is that I’m never going to gatekeep.
I’ll tell you everything that I’ve learned, where I learned it from.
This year.
I decided that it was going to be the year where I took my self development to another level because I wanted to see a big change in my life.
These are every single book that I have read this year.
Podcasts I listen to.
It’s not everything.
There’s some studies that I listen to that are on YouTube that I couldn’t fit on there.
But guys, take a screenshot instead of riding around in the car and listening to music that’s depressive or has you thinking about the bad things you shouldn’t be thinking about.
Put on an audiobook and get better.
Ashley, anything you want to share on that one? Okay.
And then the last thing that we want to leave you guys with is that you have to have high awareness that where you’re at right now is where you’re meant to be.
You’re not a Tampa Bay leadership school by accident.
You’re here for a reason.
There’s something that somebody’s going to say this weekend.
We have an amazing guest speaker.
He’s one of my favorite people in the whole entire company, guys, that’s coming here to pour into our teams to help us to get to the next level.
And he doesn’t even benefit from us.
We’re not part of his team.
So take notes.
If there’s somebody that’s not with you here tonight, make sure that you call them, that they show up tomorrow.
And actually, I want you to talk about that, because this event, you came here nine months ago, and ever since then, your business has totally exploded.
So if you want to share a little bit about tbls with them.
Yeah.
Guys, everything that Natasha said tomorrow, guys, if you have people that you interviewed or maybe family, friends in this area, plug them into this know, being plugged into this environment and these events, you just never know how it can change someone’s life, okay? And again, when I came to my first tbls in March, that locked me into this business, okay? That’s when I decided, this is what I’m going to do.
This is what I’m going to do for my daughter.
And I highly encourage you guys to make some phone calls, send out some text messages, get whoever you can here tomorrow.
We want to pack this place out, okay? Friends, family, anybody that you’ve crossed paths with, you just never know how one of these events will change their lives.
So, with that being said, guys, take a lot of notes.
Be intentional while you’re here.
Have fun, grow, and let’s get this place filled tomorrow.
With that being said, guys, I just want to shout the aviator hierarchy out.
Where you guys at? Let’s go.
Let’s go.
With that being said, aviators, you know who we are? Aviators.
The rainbow.
