Video Summary

Luis Jormarie Barriera shares an emotional journey of growth, faith, and resilience. Starting as a young electrician in Puerto Rico, he describes entering the business as a broke, unemployed dreamer searching for opportunity. He saw the platform as a vehicle for a better future and committed to building.

After achieving early progress, life presented major challenges. His wife began experiencing medical issues, and the family made the difficult decision to relocate to Florida in 2021. With four children, limited English skills, and no established base in the United States, they essentially started over.

Luis explains how meeting the right mentor reignited his belief. For years he had only seen him from a distance, but when they finally connected in person, that belief became personal. Having someone believe in him before he fully believed in himself restored his confidence and vision.

Despite language barriers and starting from scratch in a new market, he embraced the system, attended major events, and focused on leadership development. In 2022, his organization promoted its first Regional Vice President in Puerto Rico. Soon after, he reached major milestones himself, including ring recognition.

Now his vision is larger than personal success. He aims to develop 20 individuals earning $50,000 annually, proving that multiplication creates impact. His message is simple yet powerful: every day is a new opportunity to dream again. If you stop dreaming, you stop living.

Luis closes by reminding the audience that belief changes everything. When someone believes in you, and you choose to believe in yourself, anything becomes possible.

Hi everybody. My name is Luis Barriera. I’m learning English. Okay? So first of all I need to thank God to give me the opportunity to be here with you guys and thanks every single player here and of course our coach Keith and Daniel Otto, to give me the opportunity to become a pilot builder too. So when I meet Primerica in Puerto Rico. So when I was 19 years old, I started to become an electric, okay? So. But when I meet Primerica, I am a broke, unemployed dreamer. So I get involved in Primerica because it’s the best opportunity I saw in the future. Okay? So I become an RBP 2017 and 2021. My wife always surprised me, started giving seizures. I don’t know how I saw I talk correctly. So we took a decision. We are going good forward to 100,000 in Puerto Rico.

But she start moving, you know, in the night. So we take the decision to move to Florida. Because my entry family live here in Florida. So in November 2021, I moved every single part of my family. I got four kids actually. So we moved everybody for here without English, without knowledge about primary camp here in US. So in April 12, I meet this guy. Yeah. So I so close to have 30, 36 months for meet him in person. I always see him in Pol. Only in Pol. Only in Pol. So he gave me the opportunity to become a professional here in Primerica. To learn about you, to learn your system and to dream and believe in me again and believe in Primerica. Okay? So I’m sorry. So we go to our first Kalahari on October 2022.

02:14

2022, we promote our first regional vice president in Puerto Rico. So yeah, 2023, we become February. She don’t believe we can, but he believed we can. So yeah. So in February we hit the ring and for this year or goal is become 20 50,000 earners. Because why not if everything is possible, right? So I think every single day is an awesome day to start again, to dream again. To just give yourself the opportunity to become somebody, okay? So I just dream in my entry life to become somebody. I already be a poor guy, a bad, very poor guy. So I know in the pool be poor is not the better way. So I just dream. I just want to be somebody. So I’m sorry, I’d be a little nervous. And Spanish is better for me, right?

03:20

So I think for those who believe, everything is possible. So never stop dreaming. Because if you stop dreaming, you are die already. So thank you for your time.
