Hey, so, uh, on the agenda, it says that, uh, it’s, it’s Sherry speaking, so up until like two seconds ago, I was still trying to get out of coming up here, um, so I’m just gonna get into it, um, in, if you’re new here, 30, 60, 90 days, there’s a lot of sayings that you’re gonna hear, and they’re gonna sound like contradictions, but really, I think what it is, is just, it just shows you how unique this, this company is, this opportunity is, so let’s just get into it, okay, the first one is, it’s a million dollar investment, A million dollar opportunity, but it’s a 99 investment.See, if you’re new, I think you, you kind of lose focus with that, that you can get into the financial service industry for just 99.
And if you think about traditional businesses out there, right, what do you need? You need a bunch of capital.
And I always say this in our op, like before, because Sherry and I were both nurses before we came into Primerica.Uh, before we got into nursing, we were looking into trying to start a Buffalo Wild Wings, and they actually want you to have a million dollars in cash.
And for a lot of people, they don’t, they don’t have that handy, right? But if you think about it, this, this business is really like, if, if you’ve ever heard of anybody who’s purchased a house, rent to own, anybody?Have you ever heard of that? It’s kind of like this business, right? You can, you can get into the financial services industry on a part time basis And if you decide to commit, you can eventually own your own business here.
There’s no other opportunity like that.
You can work for yourself, but not by yourself.
Now, again, if you’re new here, I want you to get into the mindset that you’re actually building your own organization within a company.
But at the same time, you have mentors here.
You have RVPs that actually want you to become successful.
www.

com And I think, you know, as you go into the next coming days or weeks, you might have conversations with your RVP and you’re gonna be like, I don’t know, I don’t know if that’s a good idea. You need to understand that what they’re asking you to do can only benefit you guys.
You have freedom, but you also have, thank you, uh, responsibility.
Uh, when you come into the tier and you start working full time, you have the freedom to be your own boss.
But the question is, are you the employee that you would want to hire right now? See, if you don’t build your organization to have passive residual income, you’re not really free.
You just have flexibility.
And the last one I’m going to cover, uh, before I bring up my wife here, uh, you have to have patience, but with a sense of urgency.
See, if you, if you have clients and you bring on teammates You have to have patience to, to let them be compliant for your teammates to develop.
But at the same time, you have to have the urgency to work for the results that you committed to.
Right or wrong? Right! So, a lot of the times, guys, Uh, you have to understand that they have to have their own timing, but when you fight for your results, You have to do it urgently because the longer you wait to fight, the, the less likely you’ll be able, you’ll, you’ll fight for those goals because that’s, that’s the, uh, the law of diminishing intent.
And, uh, I’ll let my wife Sherry here finish this off.
Thank you.
I’m five feet with my heels on, so I’m gonna stand away from the podium.
But guys, coming into this business, right, I always thought that we had to recruit thousands and thousands of people to build a business.
And it’s true.
But they also told me that you only need a few key people, right? To get to senior rep, you only need three.
To get to RVP, you only need six districts.
To get to senior vice president, you only need three RVPs, right? But through it all, we have to recruit thousands and thousands of people because to get to the quality of people that we want in our business, we have to go through the quantity, right?I’m sure you’ve heard that before, right? And the thing is guys, like with the many people that come into the business, right? We don’t all come out, we don’t all come in, right? looking like the way some of our RVPs are walking across the stage, right? There’s no kind of magnifying glass that we can put out in front of a person when they come in and say, this guy’s an RVP.Right? Some of us had to marinate in the Bay Shop a little bit, right? Before we decided to go for it.
So, so we have to recruit the thousands, and some of those thousands will decide and become your few key people.
And you have to decide and become that key person, right? For your Bay Shop, for your RVP.
So the next one is, we also want independent leaders. For Right? People who can close on their own, who can recruit on their own, who can field train on their own.
But we also want coachable team players.
So what does that mean? Are you the type of person that follows the play when your R.
V.
P.
calls it? Right.
Are you a coachable teammate who came here early? Are you the coachable teammate who save seats for the rest of the team? Who is straggling in, right? Are you the coachable teammate who’s taking notes right now? I’m looking right? So we want coachable teammates because guess what? If you are a coachable teammate, you get coachable teammates.
’cause you are setting things by example. You’re leading from the front, right? Guys? The next one is, because we’re a team, of course we want to celebrate the wins, right? All the people that got licensed, all of you who got promoted, if you recruited someone, we want to celebrate your wins together, right? A lot of people feel that, You know, they have so much more to go, and then we forget how far we’ve come, right? So we gotta be grateful for how far we’ve come, and thank God we aren’t where we used to be, right? But on top of that, we still gotta be frustrated.
I know I’m very frustrated, right? I know that, you know, um, We, we still have a, a long way to go to promote a, a next RVP, right? I, I know we just became RVPs and I know some of you want to get to the next level. Then like Carlos said, if we don’t push for it, if we’re not urgent about it, if we’re not frustrated about it in a good way, right, we’re never going to get there.
So we got to keep that fire alive.
The next one, guys, is of course we want to override a team because overriding a team gives us leverage of money and time.Uh, there’s a, there’s a lot of jobs out there that make a, make a lot of money, but they don’t give you a lot of time, right? In Primerica, you can override a team, they can make money with or without you.
And I know I’m not there yet, we’re not there yet.
But, when you don’t have that team, right, we can only count on our own actions and our own attitudes, so we still gotta personally produce. We still gotta lead from the front.
I know it’s a contradiction, but that’s what Primerica is, right guys? Next one.
So, and, and on top of that, we want new people.
We always want new people, because new recruits, new teammates are the lifeblood of our business.
The same way that we kind of want new babies sometimes, right?Once, once our babies are grown and they’re toddlers and they start smelling like teenagers, right? We’re like, oh man, I wish you were a baby, right? Because doesn’t it feel good when your baby starts babbling and they start talking and they start crawling and they start walking? A lot of our new teammates are like that. When they first, when they close their first sale, we’re like, oh my god, right? When they start recruiting their own people, oh my god, they’re like babies growing up.
But guess what? We don’t need new people either.
We don’t need new people because we all have a license.
We all can produce.
We all can make money on our own pen.I know some people in this room do securities and they make six figures in a month without a team.
You can still do that here in Primerica too.
But of course we want new people because we want new babies doing securities too on our team, right guys? And then the last thing guys because I know I’m running out of time.I got 50 seconds We all we all want to promote our VPs because that’s that’s where the real leverage is, right? That’s where the real freedom is.
But guess what? We also want a big base shop I grew up in David and Joyce, Joyce Kim’s Bay Shop, and then I grew up in Grace Kim’s Bay Shop, Grace Kim Munley’s Bay Shop, and I’m so thankful for that, guys, because in a big Bay Shop, you get big energy. You got a huge environment that really develops you, right? You get great competition from, from the teammates, from your sidelines, from your mentors.
You get a lot of different mentors in a big Bay Shop.
And so that’s what you want to be, guys.
So I hope you guys, like, you, you get a lot of notes from this team, uh, from this day, and I hope we, uh, Get out there and work it and get and grow and big base shop. Thanks guys.
Hey, Jim
