Want to make some extra money? I said, yes.
He said, come with me.
It’s a Monday.
He said, come to a meeting with me tomorrow in displays.
We’ll talk about making some more money.
I said, sounds good.
The next day, Joe calls me, and he canceled on me.
Say, I’m trying to sell my car.
Someone’s come and check out my car.
I can’t take you.
The meeting.
The next Monday, I called Joe and said, joe, can you take me that meeting tomorrow night? And begrudgingly, he said, yes.
He brings me to the meeting, folds his arms the entire times, leaves when it’s done, and never returns.
If Joe would have stuck this out and just got licensed, he’d make it about $40 to $50,000 a month right now, doing nothing.
Doing nothing.
You could not have possibly been a worse leader than Joe.
You couldn’t have messed it up that bad.
So for all those people, they.
Well, I’m not so sure if I’m good enough to make it here.
I’m not sure if I’m talented enough to be a leader.
You cannot say the right thing to the wrong person.
And come on, somebody.
You can’t say the wrong thing to the right people.
Makes sense.
So I want to go through this little talk about these other trapdoors that people mistakenly fall through, and you want to avoid these and make the right choices.
Let’s go through.
I call this actions and reactions.
You’ll understand what I mean in a second.
So the reaction, you guys, is rarely about the action, but always about something deeper.
See, in this picture, you see a couple.
You see two young boys growing up in extreme poverty.
Then when they’re adults, one of them is still poor, and one of them is ultra successful.
Listen for a second.
You’re not screwed up right now because of what happened in your childhood or years ago or this that went wrong or that went wrong.
You’re screwed up because you keep reminding yourself of what happened in your childhood, of what happened last month or last year or two years ago.
We got to start believing that if we’re serving an unlimited God, the only limitations on our lives will we put there ourselves.
It ain’t coming from God.
He didn’t make mistakes.
He don’t make junk.
And possibly those setbacks were setting you up for a major comeback.
What a story that is.
But almost every success story comes from tough times, rough times, bad and tough upbringings.
And then they prosper.
So it’s not where you came from.
That’s the trap door.
Next.
How about this? When it comes to changing your life for a second.
The Bible says that out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
And as a person thinketh in their heart, so they become.
Art Williams said this business is 50% the crusade and 50% the dream, but 100% heart.
And if you want to make it here, your heart has to be into the crusade, into the dream selling business of interrupting people’s lives and give them permission to dust off and resurrect those dreams one more time.
And go for it.
And hear me loud and clear.
What is a trap door when it comes to the heart? Who knows that primerica is easy if it wasn’t for one thing.
We have to deal with people.
Come on, somebody.
And when you deal with people will mess you up and disappoint you seven days a week and twice on Sunday.
Come on, somebody.
So bottom line is you have to learn how to control your heart and operate from a stage of pre forgiveness.
Knowing people will let you down.
Knowing people.
Most people, their yes is not a yes and their no is not really a no.
Knowing people will say they’re going to do something and do totally something different or do nothing at all.
We got to guard our heart, for out of it flows all the issues of life.
Next.
When it comes to our thoughts, for a second, the battle is won or lost in your mind.
And when it comes to our thoughts, the trap door is you constantly thinking about the past.
You can’t drive somewhere if your car is designed where your rear view mirror is the size of your windshield and your windshield the size of your rear view mirror.
If you’re driving that way, it’s dangerous, right? You can’t constantly be focused on your past.
When it comes to our thoughts, we’re supposed to forget the former things.
And we’re supposed to ask ourselves questions like this.
Ready? If Primerica doesn’t work out, I will.
Let me give you a little hint.
If anything popped in your mind, Primerica ain’t going to work out.
How about this one? The chances of me on a scale of one to 100 becoming a $300,000, like 1000 people have.
On a scale of one to 100 is what number? Let me give you a hint.
If it’s a 99 or below, it ain’t going to happen to you.
It needs to be a solid 10.
Zero point.
If something has happened to a thousand people from every race, sex, color, age, background, education, situation, it can happen to you.
If you think like they think and talk like they talk and work like they worked.
Amen.
And when it comes to our words, here’s what I’ve never seen before, is people will constantly speak words like, my appointments canceled, I’m getting chargebacks.
Every one of those people make me want to run away and run off a cliff and jump.
You know what I’m talking about? You couldn’t trick me into saying words like an appointment canceled or I got a chargeback if I had to say the word chargeback, here’s how I’m saying it.
I can’t wait till I’m getting a thousand chargebacks a month, because then I’m making Mike sharp money.
Come on, somebody.
It’s all about how you speak about life and death and the power of the tongue.
We are snared or held captive by the words of our mouth.
We gotta be careful how we speak and then our actions.
At the end of the day, God does not steer parked cars.
He’ll almost never show you step two until you take step one.
You got to work like it’s all up to you.
Pray like it’s off to God.
You got to trust him, and you got to move forward, and you got to plow through.
We have a proven system here.
The chances of you making it here are 100% if you simply do what you’re supposed to do when you’re supposed to do it.
It’s not complicated.
Ask your coach what that means.
Check this out.
Every time a child does something they should not do or does not do something they should do, we always ask them why.
See, that’s the same question we should always be asking ourselves.
Check this out for a second.
Every minute of our lives, we vote for faith or we vote for fear.
Fear is the trap door.
And then immediately after, the only vote is counted so that the winner can be announced.
We got to be very careful how we choose to vote.
All the people who walked the stage did not walk the stage because they randomly show up here and say, wow, I’m surprised they’re calling my name.
No, it’s because they were doing a whole lot of work, whether they felt like it or not, and they were doing it before you probably woke up and kept on doing till after you went to bed.
That’s why they walked the stage.
How about this? Our lives end up being a sum total of the choices that we make.
The choices are actually equal out to the votes that we cast.
So, in primerica, we got to make phone calls.
Okay? The trap doors thinking, man, that phone, it weighs 900 pounds.
It’s hairy, and it’s got teeth.
Okay? That’s the trap.
You got to look at that phone and thinking, this is my tool to change my life and liberate many people and cause a movement that’s going to change the lives of thousands.
Let me just give you a little hint for a second.
For those of you afraid of the phone, Primerica is 46 and a half years old.
There’s been probably tens of millions of phone calls made in the history of this great company.
And I got some news for you.
Ready? The worst thing that’s ever happened in 46 and a half years and tens and millions of attempts is ready.
No, that’s it.
That’s the worst thing that’s ever happened.
And we got to put that into perspective.
How about this? If you vote correctly and make a bunch of phone calls, you know what happens? You will be able to help families, educate their children, live a nice lifestyle in retirement, be protected if they die, all kinds of great things happen.
How about this? Going to a class and studying for a test that you might actually fail.
Some people think I’m not going to try because I’ll probably fail.
If I do fail, it’s clearly not for me.
I’ve got people in my organization, and there’s a whole bunch, probably in this room, that have taken these dumb tests three times, five times, 1015 and 20 times.
Okay, it doesn’t matter.
You got to compare the difficulty of the test to the difficulty becoming a lawyer or a doctor, which takes like eleven years and a million dollars of student loan debt by the time you’re done.
Come on, you guys.
Are you kidding me? We got to quit believing hard is hard when it’s not hard.
But if you overcome this and take these tests and pass them anyway, you will unlock the door to riches.
There’s more money and money than anything else.
It’s the most residual rich business world.
You’ll be able to give money to your church, give the great causes, help orphanages be opened up.
All kinds of great things we’ve been blessed to do because the finance on the other side of passing those tests.
How about this? Doing a one one interview or a kitchen table or a Zoom meeting nowadays, what’s the worst thing that can possibly happen? Is they’re going to say, no, thanks.
Let me take some pressure off you for a second.
Every time you meet with somebody, your job is not to recruit them, not to sell them life insurance or a mutual fund, or a legal protection or a mortgage.
You have one job and one job only that when that meeting is done, they are 100% convinced that you are a man or a woman on a mission from God and you’re about to do some huge and incredible things whether they follow you or not and leave them stunned and convicted.
That I’m not going to meet many people like this person again in my life if I don’t disattach my wagon and attach to them.
I’m just going to live a life of mediocrity.
What they’ve got, I want.
They’re going places.
And I’m willing to follow.
That’s your job on every single appointment.
That you are unquitable, undeniable.
And going places makes sense.
Because if you vote correctly on what your job is on every appointment then guess what happens? You can live a dream life.
My wife and I made a decision this year.
Our goal was two vacations per month.
It’s been exhausting.
I’m ready to take a vacation from vacations.
Hey, it’s a rough life, but somebody’s got to do it.
But we’re having fun so far.
Next.
The power of fear is found in how you feel.
Okay? Never trust your feelings.
Most of the time they’re lying to you.
I don’t trust my feelings.
I trust the word of God.
He tells me how to feel.
I can do all things through Christ.
I’m more than a conqueror to him that love me.
I trust that way more than how I feel.
I don’t ask myself how to feel.
I tell myself how to feel.
You should try it.
Paid my family $25 million.
Moving on.
The power of faith is found in what you know.
Okay.
So whenever I start to feel a little questionable, down.
Whatever you want to call it I just rail off.
Some stuff in my head.
Stuff like this.
Well, I can feel down.
But here’s the deal.
It doesn’t matter how I feel.
Every month in Primerica, 30,000 people join this company.
If something’s happening 1000 plus times per day it can happen for me today.
Every month in Primerica, 50,000 plus families switch their finances to us.
If something’s happening almost 2000 times a day it can happen for me.
Don’t trust what you feel.
Trust what you know.
It trumps what you feel.
We have more people making 100,000.
A half a million, 2 million, 3 million, 4 million, 5 million.
I think Willie’s about to hit six.
Let’s go.
Right.
Next.
Faith is to believe what you do not see.
What do you believe right now about this little meeting going on next July in a place called Mercedes Benz Stadium? What do you believe that you’re going to show up.
Quit believing that.
You’re going to walk across that carpet, across that stage so many times, you’ll have to change it.
You’ll need new shoes.
Yeah.
Believe that you’re going to have a whole team of people there go in there to change their life forever.
Yes.
Believe that whatever you believe, whatever you see in your vision about that means is what’s going to happen.
Your life will always follow your most dominant thoughts.
Quit thinking, I’m going to go and start thinking.
I’m going to usher hundreds of people to come with me and we’re going to change lives because of that thing.
When the company announced a trip, whether it’s Hawaii or whatever the next trip is, you have to immediately block your calendar.
I don’t care if you can’t see your name in the rankings as winning right now.
It’s not what you see, it’s what you believe.
Because what you believe will always manifest into what you see if you attach faith to it, right.
Is the reward of faith is to see what you believe.
Isn’t that great? And it’s a place where it’s easy to have faith.
Because faith in things that have never happened takes a lot of faith.
Faith in things that’s happened so many times here.
There’s so many different types of people.
It should be easy to convince people and more importantly, for you to convince yourself.
You can change your life forever here and build a company that’s going to transform generations of your family.
A bar of iron costs $5, right? But if you turn it into horseshoes now it’s worth $12.
If you turn it into needles now, it’s worth $3,500.
But if you turn it into springs that make watches, now that same bar of iron is no longer $5.
It’s worth 300,000.
Your own value is determined also by what you can make of yourself.
So here’s my question for you.
When you do an appointment, what are you worth? Are you worth the $501,500 in commissions you’ll get? Is that all you’re worth? When you do an appointment and you get quality referrals, and now those referrals can turn to $7,000 of income.
My question for you is that all that you’re worth? Is that it? If you do an appointment and you’re on a mission to find go getters that want to change the world and multiply and promote rvps, that’s going to pay you 500,000 to millions, there’s an appointment I did one time, and I’m being paid about $40,000 a month off one appointment that will continue to grow across my life.
Don’t you minimize the value appointment, and don’t you minimize what you’re worth.
What are you supposed to do? An appointment? You’re supposed to identify if they’re a world changer or who they know in their phone.
That’s a world changer.
I love what Bill Arunder says.
He says, this thing, it ain’t no phone, it’s an oil well.
Now, I’m not from Texas.
I don’t go there much, but in Texas, if you drive around enough, you see these machines in the middle of dirt that just keep doing this over and over again.
You know what they’re doing? They’re pumping oil.
And every time it does this, once somebody’s getting paid.
Every time it does that, once something’s getting paid.
So every single person you meet has a phone.
Every phone has hundreds of names.
A huge trap door most of us fall through is we think we’re supposed to ask that person if they’re interested.
Don’t you ever do that again.
You always look them in the eye and say, listen, I’m looking for really good people who are motivated, who are honest, who want to do something huge and great and incredible their lives.
So my question for you is, would you or anybody you know be interested in doing what I’m doing right now? They would love the idea of coaching people their finances.
They love the idea of helping other people help other clients and earn an income to provide for their families.
They love the idea of one day running and operating their own office.
They would love the idea of help us open up multiple locations all across this area and even all across the nation.
Of everybody you can think of, can you think of three or four or five people that would match a description? And before you answer me, I want you to keep two things in mind.
One is this.
If you think really hard about who those people are, two incredible miracles will take place.
One is God will use you on the spot to be a massive blessing in someone’s life.
Let’s do a little experiment right now.
Raise your hand if you feel like in any way, shape or form, the primeric opportunity is a blessing in your life, raise your hand right now.
Look around the room.
Every time you find someone like us, that’s what happens on the other end.
The second thing is, if you think really hard, hundreds, if not thousands of families will receive healing in their finances and never underestimate the number one cause of marital distress and divorce.
Our country is fighting about money and finances.
According to the American Medical association, the number one cause of migraines, ulcers, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, strokes and suicides is stress.
And the number one cause of stress in our country is financial stress.
If you think super hard of who those people are, you’ll be a blessing in their life.
And God will use you on the spot and thousands of people, because every single person that draws a line in the sand decides that this is, we’re going to plant their flag and do something great.
Every one of those people God will use on the spot to be a blessing in people’s lives and help thousands of families.
I’ll close with this one thought.
You have to know that you know.
Art Williams said, to make it here, you have to develop your own, what’s called personal management philosophy.
Who’s ever heard the phrase, if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything? There’s a whole bunch of things we can be doing instead of being here to make money.
I heard selling drugs pays more.
I don’t know.
I heard that it can’t just be to make money.
You have to know that you know, because convinced people, convince people.
Come on, somebody.
You have to know that you know I’m here.
And by the way, I leave here in New York.
Second, if I could ever find an opportunity based on the hours I put in, because time is my most valuable asset, commit how much I can help people, make a difference.
We change lives here, how much money I can make.
And I want to make as much money as possible, and so should you.
Because two corinthians nine says, we are blessed to be a blessing.
As long as there’s 100 million orphans in this world, as long as 2 billion people have never heard the gospel message.
We need people with hearts just like yours, big hearts, compassionate hearts, become way better resource, make way more money.
Because good people, a lot of money, do great things.
God bless you and thank you for your time.
