Video Summary
In “Are You Ready For A Dream Life: The Training Path To Primerica Success,” Donna Yangapatty explains the three foundational training systems within Primerica that position new recruits for success. She outlines PFSU (Primerica Financial Services University) as the first step, encouraging new representatives to schedule their state exam within two weeks to build momentum and confidence. She emphasizes the importance of attending office trainings in person to strengthen commitment, build relationships, and immerse yourself in a winning environment. Finally, she highlights field training as the bridge between knowledge and income—where new reps earn while learning, gain real-world experience, develop people skills, collect referrals, and begin building a team. Her message centers on personal responsibility: all three training systems work together, and achieving a dream life depends on your willingness to show up, plug in, and do the work consistently.

Transcript: Good morning, everyone. You guys are looking so wonderful from here. So give yourself a big hand. Awesome job, guys. So, um, quick little 10 minutes on myself. I started in Primerica. My background is retail. Um, most of you, some of you guys have done retail before. Um, took a look at Primerica. I was actually recruited at work.
Um, My upline, Priya Richards, came in and she was, you know, just act like she’s shopping. Anyone done that before? And then she was like, you know what? You look familiar. And then we exchanged numbers, come to find out that we actually went to the same high school. Any Guyanese in the house? Awesome, awesome.
Alright guys, I’m gonna get right into it. So today my topic for you guys is the three types of training. And some of you guys have already known this, some of you guys are brand new and you’re like, How can I get started in this amazing opportunity? What will it take me? So I’m gonna run through it really quickly with you guys.
So there’s basically three types of training for a brand new person. Um, the first training is where you attend PFSU, which is Primerica Financial Services University. We have our own scheduled class, and then the second training is office trainings where you actually come into the office. Okay. We also stream this on Zoom as well, so if you’re in other states, it’s not an excuse for you to not to not plugged in.
And then we also have our field training, which is field training observation. Okay. So I’m gonna go through, run through this really quickly with you guys. So the first training, like I said, is the PFSU class, which can be done in person or you can actually do online. We, uh, we recommend that you be, um, in person, because if you’re in person, you get that interaction with the teachers, you get to meet your teammates, all that great stuff, right?
Now, also, if you have a full time job, it’s still not a reason for you not to get your license or put it off, because you can actually do it from the comfort of your home. Who likes that? I like that, right? And the next thing that we do is we also recommend for you to get 100 percent success is that you schedule your state exam, like Remy said, within two weeks of you starting class, okay?
And then also, to top that off, to feel very confident, you get to practice your state, your class exam, sorry, before you go to do, Go to do the state exam. How awesome is that? Right? So you’re a hundred percent competent going in there that you’re going to pass your exam on the first try. How many of us pass our test on the first try?
Just a few of us, by the way, I didn’t pass it on the first try, so that’s fine. Okay. The next thing is what to expect during the license process. So we have office trainings. Now, office trainings, if we recommend that if you’re within two hours from the office, that you show up to the office. Okay. Why you want to show up to the office?
Because there’s a commitment level when you show up. When you join on Zoom, God knows what you’re doing when you join on Zoom, right? You could be doing a million and one things, right? And the next thing you want to do also is you get an opportunity to build relationship. Like, Zoom is awesome, guys. Would you guys agree Zoom is awesome?
But you can’t build a relationship on Zoom, if that makes sense. In person, you gotta be in interaction with your other teammates. And then the last thing is environment is key. See, you are a product of your environment, and my coach always say this, if you hang around with six broke friends, you’re most likely the what?
Seven one, right? So, we gotta hang around winners, right? The next thing is, you gotta get in the field. Field training is so important. With our field training system, you have an opportunity to earn an unlimited field training bonus. And like the leaders that came up just a few seconds ago talk about their bonus, that is so awesome.
Because while you’re learning the business, you’re getting paid. Does anyone mind getting paid while they learn the business? And guess how much work you do? Absolutely nothing. You sit there and let your upline do all the work. The next thing that you get from field training is you get an opportunity to get referrals.
Guys, we are a referral based system. We do a great job for our clients and they want to recommend us to everybody that they know. Okay. The next thing you do on the field training is you get a lot of experience. How many of us come into this business knowing financial services, knowing how life insurance work, any one of us, some of us did, but for the majority of us, we had no idea cause we all come from different backgrounds.
Right? And the next thing is you also get promoted while you’re going through the process. You also learn people skill, closing skills, which are very important, and you get an opportunity while we help you to build a team. As you build a team, that allows you to leverage your time. And I’ll wrap it up with this.
It says, all trainings are important. So all trainings, you gotta attend, because they simultaneously work with each other. It’s not one is more important than the other. All are equally important. And I’m gonna wrap up with this last one. It says here, Coach always say to us, What’s your deserving factor?
Okay. Do you think you deserve a dream life? Ask yourself that question. And if you think you deserve a dream life, the only thing that’s missing is you getting ready to do the work or being prepared to do what’s necessary. Okay. And then the last question is, do you want a dream life? Anyone wants a dream life?
All right. Give it up for our incredible coach. Thank you.
