Video Summary

In Why Faith, Family, And Discipline Win Every Time, Ortiz Generations Alliance delivers a heartfelt and powerful message centered on three pillars of lasting success in Primerica: faith, family, and discipline.

The message begins with humility and gratitude — recognizing how far the journey has come. Faith is presented as the foundation. A strong spiritual anchor provides clarity, resilience, and strength through challenges. It shapes character and sustains leaders through rejection, setbacks, and growth seasons.

Family is the second pillar. Success is not just about recognition or material rewards — it is about building something that blesses and impacts the people closest to you. The message emphasizes appreciation for both natural family and the extended Primerica family. Business partnerships become deeper when rooted in service, loyalty, and shared vision. Long-term success is measured not just by production numbers, but by the unity built along the way.

The third pillar — discipline — is reinforced through military principles. As a veteran, the speaker draws powerful parallels between military training and business success. Every mission begins with a clear objective. You do not move without knowing your target. In Primerica, that means clearly defined goals with measurable outcomes and specific dates.

Goals are not wishes. They are targets meant to be hit. The difference between hoping and achieving lies in training, preparation, and expectation. Leaders do not rise to the level of their hopes; they rise to the level of their discipline and preparation. If you aim low, you will hit low. If you aim high, even missing moves you forward.

The presentation offers practical leadership insights:

  • Focus on the next objective.

  • Put precise numbers and deadlines on your goals.

  • Train consistently and expect success.

  • Adjust when necessary — do not quit.

Using an artillery training analogy, the message reinforces that missing the target is not failure. In the military, when a shot misses, the team adjusts and fires again until the target is hit. The same principle applies in business. Setbacks are part of the journey, but persistence and disciplined action create results.

The talk emphasizes that 2026 is a blank canvas. Past mistakes, missed goals, and disappointments do not define the future. What matters is present commitment and consistent action.

Ultimately, success is framed as legacy-driven. Recognition fades. Material achievements are temporary. But building a united family, developing leaders, and staying rooted in faith creates lasting impact. The rejection, the failed tests, the setbacks — they are all worth it when viewed through the lens of generational growth.

The closing message is clear for every Primerica representative: do not quit. Stay disciplined. Aim higher. Keep adjusting. Protect your dreams. Faith grounds you, family strengthens you, and discipline ensures you win.

Listen, I don’t know why, but I’m telling you, every single time that I’m asked to speak, the second I hit that corner right there, I get so emotional. Because when I think about where we come from, you know, and for us to be right here just sharing our testimony with every single one of you, I gotta be so humble about it, you know, it’s so humble. But one of the benefits of actually doing the job or getting the job done is that you’re asked to speak. And when you’re asked to speak, you can share anything that you want to share. And there is actually three things that I am so passionate and excited about sharing with everybody that comes around me. First one, I love to share. Jesus Christ, he is my all. He transformed my life.

00:53

And his mercies are great, and they’re fresh every single morning. And that’s why I’m here standing. I also love to talk about my family. I’m telling you, the ones that God gave me, they’re so special. I would not be here without them. And I know it’s Jason, it’s Jackie, it’s Eric, it’s Bryn, and my amazing husband of 42 years, Ed Ortiz. Where are you, Ed? I know you’re here somewhere there, you amazing guys. But I tell you today, I mean, yesterday when we started the event, I was totally taken by Sierra Harris. Oh, my goodness. I don’t know if you know who she is, but she was in her mother’s belly when we first met her. She was like, we have watched this child be born, grow in Primerica.

01:55

And I remember, I would always tell Jason and Jackie, who have two daughters, I would say, please, I need you to pay attention. Look at that girl. I only hope that one day Presley can be just like her. Stella can be just like her. You know that. Today I’m saying I want to be like her. I want to be like her. She was telling me how she sometimes is fear. You know, she fears public speaking. That’s why she asked her parents to allow her to speak. Is that not courageous or what? I want to be like that I also would like to recognize before I speak of my second family. Are there any wholesalers in the house? Please stand up. If you’re a wholesaler, please stand up. Let me see them. There you go. Stand. That’s why I love you so much.

02:50

Because you’re not just our business partner, you are family to us. He showed up in here because I told him. I get concerned, I get scared. I don’t like public speaking. That much. And he says, I got you, girl. I will be on the front row. I’ll be cheering you, because I care about every single one of you guys. That’s what we have in Primerica, guys, that kind of like service, right? And then, of course, I love to talk about my Primerica family, the aviators. Where are you aviators? You know why I love you guys so much? Because God gave me my natural family. You chose us. And for that, I honor you guys. And I am gonna go to the end, you know, making sure that you guys get to where you need to go, because you are so amazing.

03:43

And last but not least, I wanted to recognize my sister Wanda and Abby that came all the way from Texas. I just recruited her in the business, and we’re gonna start the expansion in Texas, too. And I’m excited about that. Now, one of the things, the third thing that I love to talk about, guys, and I am so passionate about is the military. I used to be. Well, I am a veteran. I’m not used to. I am a veteran. Any Veter, the house. Let’s go. And I love to talk about Primerica. And, you know, the funny thing is that the skills that I learned in the military, they have really shaped the way I do business in Primerica, too.

04:28

I have learned so many great things that have carried with me, and one of the things that I learned in the military is that every mission begins with a clear objective in the military. Guys, I have my. One of the things that we decided to do in 2026 is we’re gonna aim high. How many of you felt that you aimed extremely high last year and you hit your goals last year? All of them. Any hands? We all kind of fell a little short, right? So this year, we’re gonna aim higher, and we’re gonna go for it. You don’t move, you don’t act, you don’t do anything until the first step is knowing what you want to do. One of the principles that shaped the way I build my business in Primerica, and the foundation that I do today is setting those goals for 2023.

05:30

And look at this. You know, this in here. When I saw that picture, I said, that’s the way I want to be. You know, goals are not suggestions. I’m going to talk about five tips, because I’m pretty sure every single one of you have already set up your goals for the year. Have you set up your goals for the year? I mean, in the office, usually in the month of December, there is a lot of training and I see a lot of vision boards going on, and I’m pretty sure you guys have some of those, right? Do you? You have to have something guys that you’re aiming at, right? So I’m pretty sure most of you have already put down in paper what you are gonna accomplish in 2026.

06:11

But I’m gonna help you guys with what I have learned through the years that you need to do if you really want to hit those goals this year. Okay. The first thing I know is that goals are not suggestions. They are targets, and they’re meant to be hit. The reason I’m using all this military thing in here is because in the military, guys, we, when we set a goal, it was not like a guess. Let me see if we hit it. Whatever. We knew, we practiced, we worked hard because we knew were going to hit our goals. And that’s exactly the way we need to see our military. We aim with precision. We calculated distance, evaluated space, time, and everything because we wanted to make sure that were going to hit it.

07:00

It was never a matter of it would be kind of nice if we hit these goals. Are the goals that you put down that you want to accomplish in 2026 something that you would feel kind of good if you hit them or are they life changing? Absolutely, guys. That’s the way we need to do it. The goal of number one, you know, most of people make the mistake that you put those huge goals out there and want to go for the big one. No, no, no. Focus on the next thing, guys. What is your next thing? Is it pass your test, then go for it, Study. Stop saying it’s hard, guys. Tests are not hard. The answers are there. It’s just a mindset that I’m gonna get it done. Because on the other side of that test is income for me and my family.

07:50

That’s how you need to see it. So if it takes you one time, great. If it takes you 20 times, great. Now you have a story to tell your people that even those that fail can get up and go after it until they get it done. So that’s what you do, is it, that you’re gonna build a bigger team? Well, just write it down. How big is it that you’re gonna make more money? I need to know a figure. How much is more money? Put a number and go after it, guys. If your goal is to qualify for RVP in 2026, you need to put a date. Not a date that you feel good about it. A date that you’re gonna make A decision that you’re gonna go to work and accomplish everything that you need to accomplish to hit that goal.

08:48

That’s how you set your goals. A goal with precision becomes a mission. Other thing we have to do, we have to aim high. One of the things in the military that we learn is that you never rise. Listen to this. You never rise to the level of your hopes. You rise to the level of your training and your expectations. Did you hear that, guys? Because there is a lot of hope going on. I hope to get this done. I hope to get that done. When is it going to be the time that you’re going to say, I’m going for it? That is a beautiful thing, guys. It’s a beautiful thing to do. If you aim low, you will hit low. If you aim high, even when you miss, you will be higher than most people with best effort. You gotta go for it, guys.

09:49

Primerica business rewards those rewards boldness. It rewards the leaders who say, I’m gonna stretch. I’m gonna go. You know, I’m gonna go for it. I’m gonna push beyond what I’ve done before. Forget about what you’ve done before, guys. This is a new era. And the one thing that you need to do is you need to pay attention to the effectiveness. If you want to go after something and you see that it’s not working, guys, there’s nothing wrong with adjust. One of my favorite trainings in the military was artillery training. And you know, the artillery training, we would come as a team, we would put those, you know, those rounds on. On wherever were supposed to aim at. We would aim and we would shoot.

10:35

And as soon as we did that, we had somebody looking at it, observing to make sure that it hit the target. And if it didn’t hit the target, we didn’t pack the bags and go home crying because it didn’t hit the target. You know what we did? We adjust. We adjust, we learn, and we shoot again. Until when? Until you hit the target. And that’s what we need to do, guys. You need to make sure we do that. The mission for you guys is still achievable. Great leaders that succeed is not only about perfection. It’s about being persistent, about having discipline, about refusing to set back to let setbacks define your future. 2026 for every single one of you is a blank canvas, guys. It doesn’t care about last year mistakes, and we made many. It doesn’t care about last year’s disappointment.

11:37

It only cares about what you’re willing to do. Now, we have been given so much ammunition during this last few hours and yesterday. If you just take a few of those things that you learned and apply them, guys, your life is going totally change. I am like Patti Lavin, Patty, where are you? I think you are my sister from another mother girl. We think alike. And I also love to fly under the radar, guys. I don’t like recognition on me too much. I don’t stand up too much. But I do have some beautiful things that I want to show you. The most beautiful thing that I want to show you is this. We have been able to buy a lot of beautiful things, beautiful homes. We have gone on beautiful trips, too, Patty. But nothing compares to this beauty that you see right here.

12:54

And let me tell you something, guys. Is it worth the nos that I receive and Ed and I receive over these 33 last years? It’s worth it. Is it worth the times that we didn’t pass that test the first time? It’s worth it. Is it worth the time that we pour into people that we loved and we care about them and they ended up quitting on us in a very scandalous way? It’s worth it. Because you know what? None of them, none of them took away the greatest thing that the Lord had in plan for us, which is giving us a family that we fight together, we work together, and we’re going to go places together. So, guys, don’t quit. Keep going. And don’t let the naysayers take away your dreams. God bless you all.
