Video Summary
In The Power Of Your Mind: Why 2026 Becomes What You Declare, David and Magdalie Brenelus deliver a powerful message about mindset, belief, and personal responsibility.
They begin by emphasizing a foundational principle: life and death are in the power of the tongue. What you declare matters. When you declare that 2026 is your year, you align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with that belief.
Drawing from psychology and personal development leaders like William James and Napoleon Hill, they reinforce that what the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Thoughts shape feelings. Feelings influence actions. Actions produce results. The empowering truth is that this entire process is under personal control.
Understanding Mindset
Mindset is defined as a collection of beliefs and thought habits that shape behavior. Examples of powerful mindsets include:
Everything is possible
100% accountability
Attitude of gratitude
Live to give
The time is now
They contrast two types of mindset: fixed mindset and growth mindset. A fixed mindset resists coaching, avoids responsibility, and seeks shortcuts. A growth mindset seeks mentorship, embraces discipline, and focuses on earning results the right way.
Overcoming the Wrong Mindset
The speakers outline common limiting beliefs and how to replace them:
“I don’t need a coach.” → You always need mentorship.
“I have time.” → The time to build is now.
“Promotion guidelines are too hard.” → Hard standards create strong leaders.
“My upline benefits from me.” → It’s a win-win system; everyone grows together.
“I’ll pressure my way to promotion.” → Earn it properly and become an example.
They emphasize that luck follows effort. There is no free lunch. Results come from paying the price.
Responsibility and Environment
A major theme is full responsibility. Success begins when you stop blaming circumstances and start owning your growth. They also stress the importance of association—who you spend time with influences your mindset and results.
The Power of Declaration
They conclude with the power of affirmations and declarations. Speaking identity into existence shapes behavior:
I am a leader.
I am a top recruiter.
I am a great closer.
I am building a million-dollar business.
Even before results appear, declaring identity influences performance. 2026 becomes your year when belief turns into disciplined action.
Nothing happens until you conceive it, believe it, and achieve it.

Do you want to agree with me that your mindset is everything? I would ask everyone to stand up. You stand on your feet and you know, the Bible says life and death are in the power of your tongue. If you declare this year is your year, of course it’s going to be your year. And, and you’re going to say after me, this year is my year. This year is my year. Thank you. Sit down. So tonight our topic is the power of your mind. There is a law in psychology that says if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be, and you keep and hold that picture there long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking. This thought is from William James. Whatever your mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve.
Napoleon Hill. And Wayne Tracy said in his book change your thinking, change your life talks a lot about how powerful your mind is. He said that your thoughts can. Your thoughts control and determine almost everything that happens to you. Your thoughts can make you happy or sad. A successful or a failure, prosperous and poverty stricken, respected or ignored. And million dollar earner. Olivier just mentioned it. If you think this business can work for you, it’s going to work. But if you think it’s not going to work. That’s why you just declare the year 2026 is going to be your year. When you believe this year can be your year, you know what you’re going to do. You’re going to go to work. Your thoughts dictate your feelings dictate your actions. And your actions dictate your results.
And the best news all is that they are completed under your own control. So when we talk about mindset, how we define mindset. Mindset is a mental inclination or disposition of a frame of work of mind. Your mindset is a collection of thoughts belief that shape your thought habit. And your thought habits affect how you think, what you feel and what you do. Example of mindset. Everything, when you said everything is possible, of course it’s going to be possible. Your passion, your connection, when you 100% accountable. It’s a type of mindset, attitude of gratitude. You know, some people, whatever you do for them, it’s like you do nothing. Okay, so having an attitude of gratitude is a mindset. When you live to give, it’s a mindset. The time is now is a mindset. You don’t postpone it for tomorrow.
Okay, you want to act now. So we realize we have two different two types of mindset. There is the one mindset, the right mindset. And there is fixed mindset and growth mindset. And tonight I will teach you or remind you how to overcome the wrong mindset. How you overcome the wrong mindset. Because most people lose this great opportunity because their own mindset. You need to learn how to overcome it. To overcome it. Some people say, I don’t want anyone to tell me what to do. How you overcome this. You said, I need a coach every step of the way. The second one says, I have a lot of time to make things happen in the business. But when you have the right mindset, you said, the time to build my business is now, not tomorrow. You don’t postpone it for tomorrow.
And the third one says, I learned the business by myself. No one can learn the business by themselves. You know, sometime your ego push you to, to. To you say to yourself, I learned it by myself. You always need a coach. You always need a mentor. A mentor. Without a mentor, you cannot do anything. Okay, I learned the business by myself. You cannot do the right mindset. Said, I am where I am today because of my upline. Most successful leaders. They always talk about the. The mentor. Okay, John Lavin talk about Dick Walker. Say, not talk about channel. We talk about China all the time because we know we cannot do it on our own. Okay? The next one said, if I were in so and so bishop or team, I would do better. You know what the white mindset said?
I want to be the top leader and the best player of my bishop. That’s what you say. And other people talk when they have the wrong mindset. They said, the promotion guideline of my hierarchy is too tough. You know, when you have the right mindset. What you said, I don’t care how tough the promotion guideline is. I still work hard to earn my promotion. I’m not looking for a free lunch. You know, a lot of people, they come in the business and they’re looking for a free lunch. There’s no free lunch. One of the speakers in the previous meeting said that you have to pay the price. If you don’t pay the price, how you want to get the reward. There’s nothing for free. They were talking about lucky. You get lucky after you work the business.
If you don’t work, you’re not gonna get lucky. The luck come after working the business. And one of the one mindset said, if my VP was soft, I would get promoted to the next level Earlier. What the right mindset said, I am where I am today. Because my RVP was tough on me. And you said, I don’t believe in pushing up people because those who are on tap make money off me. That’s what you said. No, the right mindset said, I like the pushing up philosophy because it is the only way we can build a successful business. My RVP only sees himself because he always motivates people to go to work to get his overrides. No, what the right mindset said, the business is a win game. Win, win game. If I make money, my upline makes money.
Also, if I don’t make money, my offline doesn’t make money either. I want to know what’s going on in every bishop. Understand that every bishop. This is what my set said. Understand that every bishop is different. I want to focus on my bishop goals and activities. You know, every bishop not working the same way. So when you have the wrong mindset, you’re not gonna work the business. You must have the right mindset. With the right mindset, you’re gonna build a great business. And the last one said, I will pressure my RVP to get promoted. When then I will figure it out later. No, you have to figure it out now. I want to get promoted the right way and I want to be an example for everyone in my bay shop. You know, most people, they’re looking for exception.
No, you want to be the exception yourself. And I would finish tonight with this kind of advice. You know, I learned something in the business and I can give you some advice as I’m closing. Be careful who you hang out with. As you’re talking about mindset, be careful who you’re talking to every single day because you are who you hang out with. As a result, everything will change for you when you take full responsibility for yourself. In closing, nothing will happen for you until you conceive it, believe it and achieve it. And you have to repeat those affirmations every day. You know, your declaration is very important. We just said this year is going to be our year. That you need to leave this meeting tomorrow thinking that you the top recruiter. You don’t recruit anyone yet the $64 IB.
But you can leave this meeting knowing that you’re the top recruiter, you a leader. I’m a warrior for freedom. I’m a great closer. I’m a builder. I’m a great communicator. Okay, that’s what you say. I want to change thousands of life. I’m building the fastest growing team. I’m a millionaire. So when you come here and you think like that. You know what’s happening to you? You’re gonna be different than you were last year. Last year, 2025, probably not. Was not the best year for you. But as you just declare this afternoon, you just declare that this year can be your year. So you’re gonna do everything, your power, your resolution, the year resolution you have, you’re gonna stick to it. And if you do, you know what you’re going to have? You’re going to change your business forever. Thank you for having me.
And see you at the top.
