And listen, it’s always an honor to be up here, right, to be able to talk really, just in front of you guys and kind of give you something to go take away for your business. And, you know, I love seeing Douglas. You talk about 30 new codes, right? And the Thundercats hierarchy has 18. So I’m just super pumped to see that’s for this year so far. So 30 new codes. We’re at 18. We want to crush that and go past that. But I really want to kind of talk about today is, as you can see here, I like food. All right, Elijah, I see you laughing there.

Now, I’m not going to just talk about food. I’m going to kind of share a little bit of a story first. But I figured my team would get a kick out of it because it’s probably half of my talks is about food, but probably about like nine months ago, you know, I was going through some, like, minor health challenges. Just kind of like not feeling like myself. And, you know, I was. I was just tired and sick. I thought maybe it was the baby and lack of sleep, right. And the other baby coming and waking us up in the middle of the night, but it just wasn’t right. And then thankfully, I have a 14 year older brother that got married and his wife kept pushing me to go get some blood work checked out. Go get some blood work checked out.

So we eventually did. And, you know, I’m not going to go over all the results and everything there, but instead of kind of getting ready to go and, you know, maybe think about taking medicine, Everything is fine. I decided to do some research. And through the research, we decided to kind of change our diet a little bit, right? And I like cupcakes. Right. But I really like the meat. So I went into like an old meat thing. And then eventually we started. What we ended up doing was we cut out processed foods and we cut out the processed foods. And then I started learning that it’s not so easy to buy things that are not processed here in the United States of America, right?

So I had to start making some of my own things and starting to learn some recipes and things like that. And then I started making. I like peanut butter. Anybody like peanut butter? All right, you’re my people. Perfect, right? So I like peanut butter. So I started making these like little protein cookie ball things. And, you know, the first time I made it, I followed the recipe, right? And I went through the recipe and I followed it exactly. And I was like, wow, these are really good. Let’s make these again, right? Then I did it again and I made it again. And then like after, like three or four times, I started changing a little bit and. And I left some things out, right? I changed it.

I left something out that maybe should have went in there and kind of thought like, hey, how big of a deal is it? It’s not that big of a deal. It’s just. Just one little thing, right? And what that one little thing did was, well, it kind of kept it together. And what happened was, is as I went to fix and eat the cookie, it fell apart, right Now I couldn’t enjoy the full cookie. I mean, I kind of got like two right? But it fell apart and broke. And where it comes is the discipline and the full implementation matter in our business. But what I want to talk about is the missing ingredient in our business, right? Just like I was missing the ingredient in the little cookies. So many of us are missing and not doing full everything in our business, right?

We do almost everything. We show up to training, we come here excited with your jerseys, right? Looking sharp. You get here early, you get your tickets, right? But you forgot to follow up and ask a few other people if they were coming, right? You forget to. Whatever it is. There’s a lot of things in that. And we skip something and we think it won’t matter so much, right? But what it’s really costing us, it’s costing us in our business, right? It’s not just a broken cookie that was maybe a little bit drier as we left out some of the stuff and not as good, right? But it’s costing us maybe lost clients. It’s costing you team momentum, right? It’s costing so many different opportunities that will fall through the cracks. And we think it’s just one ingredient. It’s just a little thing.

But guys, listen, the little things are not little. We think it is because it’s so minute, right? But it’s that the little things is what separates the average from the extraordinary in our business. And we get so caught up. This is our step process in our business, right? Success has a recipe in our business. This is it. Prospecting, the daily phone calls, which I know is everybody’s favorite, right? The follow up to the phone calls, the presenting of the business, going over the life insurance and as Maggie said, buy term, invest the difference, both parts. Closing, servicing the client, right? Not Just, hey, great, don’t die in the next 30 years, right? It’s no, it’s servicing the client because that’s gonna build a referral and then repeating it again and again.

But if you leave one out, imagine you didn’t prospect how many daily phone calls you gonna make tomorrow. What if you didn’t follow up? Anybody ever have somebody, they call, they don’t pick up the phone? Yeah, imagine you didn’t follow up. Imagine you just called every person one time. How many times would you even get the opportunity to present? If you miss one, it can change everything. Discipline is what ties it all together in our business. Now what is discipline? It’s doing the full recipe. It’s putting all of it together. Now, it doesn’t mean just working hard, right? Discipline means doing it fully and completely. That discipline, anybody can write, work hard, right? But what we have to do is we can’t just worry and focus our business on motivation. But if you’re disciplined, right? Discipline shows up when motivation doesn’t.

And let me tell you, motivation doesn’t show up a lot. You know when it shows up 4 o’ clock today, when you’re pumped up right after the school, you know when it goes away, when you wake up tomorrow morning. But your discipline is what you have to have in place, right? That’s when things are going to start to change, right? Like, this school is awesome. But if we don’t have the discipline afterwards and we don’t implement what we take from this, right? If we don’t take action after this school and implement what we learn, it’s not going to mean much. Right now you’re going to learn things, you’re going to get those things, you’re going to take them. But if we don’t, then follow up and put the discipline in and then implement what we learned, take action and then do it consistently.

We’re just going to be back here the next year in the same position, maybe a row closer, maybe a row further, maybe with a few more people, maybe with a few less people. But that’s not what you want. You want 30 new codes. How can you do that? By sticking to your plan that your vice president gives you discipline every single day, in and out, every single day, right? Repeating what your rvp, what your trainer says, and you got to start it. So I ask you this. What is the missing ingredient? What is the one thing that you are leaving out right now? Like, and usually it’s something we try rationalizing, right? What is the one thing you’re rationalizing, skipping. Think for a second. Are you not prospecting anymore because you got to regional vice president?

Are you not going on social media because it didn’t work for two months? Right. All the things that we rat, you know, they didn’t pick up four times, I’m not going to call them five times. And we rationalize that and then we don’t get the results, right? Imagine leaving the eggs out of a cake you put in and be like, why didn’t it work? I don’t get it. But we do that in our business all of the time. Keep it simple, stick to the recipe, repeat it daily, right? Jim Rohn said, success is nothing more than a few simple decisions practiced daily. Right? That is how the top performers rise. And I leave you with this, and I want you to write it down. Are you going to be average? Are you going to be an extraordinary? The difference is simple.
