But growing up, I grew up on Biggie Smalls. Anybody know Biggie Smalls? All right, so he had a song called the Ten Crack Commandments. Okay. Yeah. Some of y’ all know what I’m talking about, right? But we in Primerica now, right?
So we had the Power Builders commandments that we go by right now, right? So have your notes ready because we kicking those meetings with a firecracker, right? So the first one, and you all have done it. Never miss a meeting or a training. You can’t tell me you want something great out of life, but you have an excuse. Your why cannot be your excuse. Your reason cannot be your excuse. So if you’re trying to tell me you want to go to the next level, never miss a meeting or a training. Number two, always give great effort. Even when you’re feeling down, someone is watching you. Even feel when you’re not where you’re supposed to be, someone is watching you. Always, always give that great effort, right? Number three. Harvey tells me this every single day because he shows me every single day. Outwork, everyone.
No one will ever want it as bad as you want it. And if you believe someone, if someone believes they want it more than you, what you go out there and do, work harder than them. Number four, be a team player. Right? Everyone in the Power Builders universe, not even hiking, we’re a universe we’re taking over, right? We understand to be a team player. I have this regional leader on my team named Selora, right? No matter what, she always shows up. Right? She always shows up no matter what. She’s a great team player. Number five. And this is the biggest one be coachable or chokeable, right? My leader would tell you all the time, I’m the most coachable, uncoachable, but coachable person on this team, right? And if you’re that person in your leader’s bait shop or in their hierarchy, you’re on your way.
The reason why you want to be coachable no matter what that play is, that you don’t. Even if you don’t understand it, you don’t understand what they’re saying to you. Just do it anyway, right? The reason why you want to do it, because they are where you want to be. So if you want to go where someone else wants to be, they’re showing you the way how to do it. Okay? Number six, Be mentally tough. This business could be draining. It can be tough on your spirit, on your mindset. But if you know that you are that one in your family, because no one else is going to be that person in that family, you got to be that one. You got to be messing this up. So every single day, pick up a book and read something.
Right now, I’m reading on fanatical prospecting for the second time, and I think the third time, I’m finally going to get it right. But what you want to do is always be code. No matter what that play is, always do that, right? Be mentally tough, right? Because if you’re gonna be that first millionaire in your family, if you’re gonna be the one to change your life and create generational wealth for the next family, you gotta be that person, right? Number seven. Maintain. Maintain. Maintain a positive attitude at all times. I’m gonna say that one more time for myself, right? Maintain a positive attitude at. At all times. Like, you know, we don’t listen. Your teammates don’t care what’s going on with you. Your family don’t care what’s going on with you. So what you gotta do is always be positive. Always. Right?
No matter what’s going on, you gotta charge back. Be positive your best person quit. Be positive your coach yells at you. Be positive your baby mama left you. Be positive the rent is due. Be positive your car got totaled. Be positive. No matter what it is out there that’s going on, be positive. Show it with a smile every single day. The only reason why I’m up here right now, because I’ve been positive 90% of the day, right? All right. Awesome. Number eight, never lose faith. That’s a big one right there. Never lose faith. Delay is not denial, y’. All. Just because I’m not an RVP right now does not mean I’m not gonna be the biggest rvp. That just means it wasn’t my time yet.
That just means someone needed to see me go through what I go through and learn from me and then say, hey, I’m not going to make his mistakes, and I’m going to go to rep but it’s perfectly fine.
