Wow, what a great event.
I don’t know about you, I always realize that Primerica is not a place where you just do term insurance and mutual funds.
But the main product at Primerica is changed lives.
I want you to go ahead and raise your hand, stand up, yell if you feel in any way, shape or form.
This opportunity has been a blessing and changed your life.
Go ahead and do that.
So when you communicate what we do, don’t you ever lose sight about the fact that we change lives here.
That’s been the blessing.
That’s why I came for it.
And they absolutely delivered.
I want to take a moment just to thank Jesus Christ, my lord and savior.
Without him I can do nothing.
My beautiful wife, Lois, I think she’s in the back eating crackers or something, but give it up for her.
She is amazing.
I always prayed for a woman that was really beautiful on the inside and the outside and really nearsighted.
So God answered that prayer.
And then also I want to thank my team came from all across the country, different states.
So proud of you guys.
Listen, we love you.
There’s not a darn thing you can do about it.
And just know that we pray for you guys.
We pray for your families.
We pray for God to give you multiple divine appointments on a daily basis.
You can keep growing your teams and being blessed all the way around.
I want to talk really seriously for a second.
You know, Bill Arunder basically announced last night that you guys are screwed.
Okay? The national debt law stuff.
And I’m going to just tell you that when art Williams birthed this thing, it was about a crusade.
It was against the whole life insurance industry, against the banks.
I’m just going to tell you flat out, the crusade is 1000 times more important now than it was at the time art Williams birthed this thing.
So we should be growing 1000 times faster because of this stuff.
Let’s go.
So first of all, Glenn Williams has been talking about this drive to 70,000 and listen, there’s a little meeting coming up in a few months in Atlanta, Georgia.
No big deal.
Only the most important and largest business meeting in the history of the Milky Way galaxy.
Come on, somebody.
It’s going to be big.
It’s going to be powerful.
You’re going to be there.
But it’s not just about clapping, having a good time and learning some stuff.
It’s the only hope America has financially.
Let’s talk about that.
Here we go.
So here’s the deal.
Why now is the most important time for you in primerica.
Because of where the american consumer’s at.
Check this out for a second.
There’s a website.
If you’re like numbers and you’re a geek, this is like crack cocaine for you.
Okay? Don’t go there.
It’s called usdtcrack.org dot.
You can go there.
It’s all real time numbers.
The numbers change all the time.
And it’s basically depressing as heck.
But it talks about our debts and things like that.
And here’s some numbers that not much shocks me anymore, but some of this stuff shocked me.
Check this out for a second.
It talks about how student loan debt.
What did bill of under say yesterday? Young people, you’re screwed.
It’s $1.8 trillion.
These kids are coming out of school with mortgages but no houses and they can never afford to get out from under that mess.
Okay? At the same time, student loan debt, 1.8 trillion.
$1.3 trillion of credit card debt.
That was a big deal before.
Now it’s even a worse deal because interest rates are so much higher.
And again, not much shocks me, but this shocked me.
Check this out for a second.
This is showing that last year or year 2000, the average cost of a new home was about 160.
Now it’s 420.
Everyone say more than doubled.
Average cost of a new car in the year 2000 was 22k.
Now it’s 51.
Everyone say more than doubled.
Average pay raise for a full time worker in the most blessed country in the world has gone from 32,000 to 36,000.
Here’s the million dollar question.
How is a total of an 18% raise over 24 years afford the ability to buy stuff that’s gone up 200% in cost? It’s mathematically impossible to make it anymore without a side hustle.
Check this out for a second.
The US housing market they’re calling now an impossible mess.
Anyone know? Real estate agents recruit them.
They’re saying Americans with cheap loans don’t want to sell.
Those with homes can’t afford to buy will anything but impossible and mess.
Check this out.
Okay.
Middle income worries.
What are their biggest worries right now? In this country, the answer is managing credit card debt.
61% of people lose sleep at night because of credit card debt.
Why do people get credit card debt? Because in order to live on a monthly basis, your income isn’t enough.
That’s how you get credit card debt.
Right? How about this one? Oops.
How to go backwards.
Rising cost of living.
I haven’t been to a grocery store recently.
Dear God, I make a lot of money.
It doesn’t affect me, but I don’t know how people can afford that stuff.
Rising costs of groceries and yells.
71% lose sleep at night over that.
And ability to save for the future.
I don’t know if you know what that means, but listen for a second.
57% of the country has zero in iras.
71% are saving.
Zero per month.
We are a train heading full speed, off a cliff towards a train wreck unless we grow more and change this thing around.
Check this out.
Okay? Wall Street Journal.
Americans, by many measures, earn happier work than ever before.
Why is that? Okay.
They’re saying despite wage increases, more pay, time off, greater control of where they work, the number of us workers that say they’re angry, stressed, and disengaged, they’re not unhappy.
They’re angry.
You know why? Because they’re busting their butt 40, 50, 60 hours a week.
And the money they’re making can’t afford to pay for life.
So check this out, okay? The world is changing.
Now we’re going to what’s called a gig economy.
Some of you are mad.
Don’t bring up big words aside.
First of all, get over it.
Gig is not a big word.
It’s three letters.
Okay? But what that basically means is you don’t have a job.
You’re a 1099.
That’s what a gig is.
We’re a part of the gig economy.
Is this a big deal? Since 57 million people are now working in the good economy, and in the year 2027, it’s gonna be 50% of the country.
You know what that means? 90 million people extra, more, in addition to in next three years, are going to have a side hustle.
The only question is where? The only question is with who and through who.
Check this out.
Independent contractor is where it’s at.
Now.
They’re saying that millennials, 26%, believe that the gig economy is more secure than conventional work.
Who’s ever heard of a company called Uber before? Here’s what absolutely ticks me off.
Guess how many drivers Uber has in the United States.
1.5 million.
Guess how many reps primeric has.
Let me be clear.
Uber does not exist because people need a ride from point a to point b.
If that was the case, there’s no Uber.
Uber exists because 1.5 million said, I don’t have a choice.
I need to make more money.
I can’t afford life.
I need to make more money.
So 1.5 million get into a car and drive around from kingdom come, picking up people and dropping them off because they need a few extra bucks.
There’s no way in the world anyone’s ever going to convince me or you that Uber is a better opportunity than primerica.
Come on.
Somebody.
And they have ten.
They have ten times more people than we do.
Are you kidding me? They’re looking.
They wanting it.
We just gotta wake up and do our job right? So.
By the way, Jimmy, remember when I first went to a meeting? John lab and Jimmy, you guys, Ortiz.
Every slide was about, if you wanna start a business, you need all this working capital.
100,000 for this and 300,000 for that.
And that’s how they sold us on Primerica.
Cause it’s a low barrier of entry.
Well, hey, now, in order to start in business, you know what you need? A smartphone.
And Internet.
Okay? A smartphone, Internet.
So everybody is already equipped to get started with us.
Why do people want it? Because of flexibility, of course.
Work life balance.
Do people want that stuff? Yes.
Are they voting for it? Yes.
S and P 500.
Average tenure.
People getting a job was like getting into a marriage.
Average person stayed in a company for 33 years.
20 years.
Ten years and out.
You know why? Because the math ain’t working there no more.
And that’s the big one right there.
64% of Americans, right now, today, aren’t wanting a side hustle so they can make extra money to buy an rv, boat, motorcycle and toys.
They’re wanting a side hustle because they can’t freaking afford to buy a house, buy a car, put their kids in school, go on a trip.
Every now they can’t afford anything.
Making extra money is no longer a choice.
Who’s ever heard a show called the Brady Bunch before? Anybody? Somehow America convinced us this show came out 60 years ago, it was normal for a husband to go to work.
A guy named Greg had a wife that stayed home, Carol.
With six kids and a full time housekeeper named Alice.
And that was just normal middle class.
And we bought it hook, line, sinker.
Can I ask you a question? If you heard about a family with a stay at home wife with six kids and a full time housekeeper, does that sound like normal middle class to you today? So, 60 years ago, that was normal.
30 years later, it was normal for husband and wife both to work, to afford life.
Today, here’s where we’re at.
Husband and wife both working in debt to their eyeballs.
Can’t save squat.
Nothing.
And must have extra income because they’re freaking drowning.
And we’ve got the lifeboat, right? So where we at right now, everybody needs what we do, and they don’t know about it.
And by the way, women, you guys are rocking.
I saw you walking across the stage, taking home the lumber.
The biggest explosion in our company is moms and single moms who need to stay home with their kids but need to make extra money.
And you guys are showing up everybody and being a poster child, and that’s so exciting.
All right, check this out for a second.
You know, we’re doing pretty good so far by our standards.
Okay.
We have that senior leadership meeting.
Crazy.
We have about 700 people there, actually.
This year was 800, making over a quarter million.
We now have $131 million.
Give it up for Andy and Brittany onsted.
Number 131.
Blazing the trailer.
That’s all exciting.
The only challenge is it’s too freaking small compared to the need.
Okay.
Right now, I want to just take a moment and celebrate what these guys did, because it’s a big dad gum deal, and what you guys are doing is huge.
The entire country needs to know about what you guys are doing.
You’re showing this doesn’t.
You know, I’ve been here for a while.
My pet peeve would get to hair in the back of my neck standing up.
When someone says, yeah, but it takes a while to ramp up.
You don’t actually make any money in the beginning.
B’s bull crap.
You guys are proving that all wrong.
Yes, you can make money, a lot of it.
And you can make it fast and make it sustainable and let it keep on growing.
You guys have changed your lives.
We gotta get this message out, because America needs this message, and they need it yesterday.
And here’s where we’re at right now, the convention.
It’s not about us getting together 70,000 people in Atlanta to clap a whole bunch of times and cheer and look at confetti at the end.
It’s the only hope America has, because America is drowning.
The american family is struggling.
They’re laying over.
You know, the number one cause in our country of marital distress and divorce is fighting about money and finances.
The American Medical association is the number one cause in our country for migraines, ulcers, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, even suicide is stress.
And the number one cause is financial stress.
We need to get people that convention because our product has changed lives.
I’m just going to share with you a quick story of a guy named me.
So 32 and a half years ago, I was in the company for a minute.
I made $70 so far.
They invited me to go to a meeting in Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas, my first ever primeric convention.
I had no money, no time, but somehow I knew I needed to go.
I had a job.
It was my plan to do Primerica part time and quit my job next 10, 20, 30, or 40 or 50 years.
A real specific plan, but that was my plan.
Long story short, I go to that meeting, and I remember, like, my.
The guy I was with, he’s like, let’s sit in the front.
But there’s no seats in the front.
We moved up to the front and just laid on our bellies in front of the stage.
Okay.
Because we made our own front row.
Long, hint.
Should be people there.
And long story short, I’m in the meeting.
I’m just taking notes, and it’s all good.
I’m hearing great speakers up to great speakers like Bill Loren and Jimmy Meyer and these guys, and I’m getting all excited.
And I remember having to leave the meeting to go to the bathroom.
And I went in the bathroom stall.
I didn’t have to go to the bathroom.
I just kind of stood there, and I felt these three very distinct emotions overtake me.
Emotions of wanting to laugh and cry and vomit all at the same time.
I’ve never been in a position where I won $50 million in the lottery and been broke at the same moment.
When I found out I won, that was definitely broke as can be at that moment.
And I felt the same emotions you would feel if you just found out that you were broke and had a winning lottery ticket for $50 million.
And by the way, when you win the lottery, they don’t give you all the cash upfront.
They pay it to you gradually over many years.
I felt at that moment like I had that winning lottery ticket, and I found it through this opportunity.
And this company is 1 million% delivered on that.
My question for you is, how many people are you going to usher to that dome in about three and a half months, about 95 days, whatever that is, so their lives can be changed.
I’m praying for you guys.
I believe in you guys.
Our country needs you guys.
There is no other hope.
There is no other chance.
God bless you all.
We love you all, and thank you for listening.
