”We’re so excited guys to be here.
Um, my name is Jeanette Jean Baptiste.
Um, I’ve been with, uh, the company now, actually next month it’s going to be 12 years.
And, um, it’s crazy because, you know, the time it goes by like this, okay, in Primerica, Primerica time goes by so fast.
When you’re counting the first 10 days, then the last 10 days of the month, it goes by really fast and, um, It’s crazy that, you know, when I first got introduced to the business by Cordell and Kendacy, so, The vision that we have today was definitely not the vision that we had back then, because I joined just to make an extra 500, alright? And that’s a lot of you guys story because, you know, When you guys saw the opportunity, most of us saw the opportunity to make an extra income, okay? And that was my story.
And then, you know, fast forward 12 years later, I’ve just, I’ve done just about everything in business.
Okay, figuring out what works with our partnership.Um, I’ve done like the, you know, going in the field, doing the appointments.
Working with Sheldon, figured out me and him don’t work good together in the field.
So we stopped that, figured out that, you know, the office assistant helping him, he fired me from that.
Okay.
Like we’ve done everything.
Okay.
And then we figured out that, you know what? I retain information really well, okay? So I pretty much memorized the whole life license book, okay? And, um, that’s where I’m able to give my, um, my, I guess my input in the business.
And, um, that’s what we’ve been doing since we figured that out, okay? My part is, you know, making sure that we got licensed.
Um, yes, last year we took that part seriously. And we’re able to get our, you know, our licensing over a hundred codes, right? We’re on our way to 200, 300 by the end of the year, and that’s what we’re focused on right now.
So our primetime team, they know our goal right now this year is to get our codes to 300, and that’s what we’re working on.
So let me introduce my amazing husband, Sheldon Jean Baptiste.
Alright, alright, how you guys doing? Alright, what time is it? You know it, let’s go, let’s go.
Alright, clap it up for my amazing wife, she did an unbelievable job.
Right guys, right? So, So guys, first of all, like Jeanette said, we are super excited about our team.
Shout out to everybody on our team that came here today and not also just came here. That also got recognition today across the stage, right? Shout out to Lovia Lewis on taking number one in recruiting, right? She will be the next, she will be our first RBP coming out the base shop.
So we excited about that.
Oh man.
But real quick guys, I just kind of want to give you guys some hope today. All right.
If you don’t take anything from my message, thank you so much, baby.
I appreciate you.
All right.
Bye.
Can’t do it by yourself, right? So, uh, so check this out.
I just want to kind of give you guys some hope today real quick.
Uh, when I first joined Primerica, I was 18 years old.
Anyone in the room 18? Anyone used to be 18? Alright, a couple of you guys, right? Right or wrong, right? But when I joined, I was a kid, right? Um, literally just graduated high school and I joined that same summer going into college.
I joined Primerica, didn’t join because, you know, uh, maybe a lot of the reasons why you guys joined.I joined because I wanted to make money.
Anyone want to make money? Right guys, right? I didn’t understand anything in the presentation.
I didn’t understand nothing about Rule of 72, Rule of 27.
I didn’t know anything about anything.
Once I saw I could make four or five hundred dollars in an hour, and I was like, I don’t know if this is legal, but sign me up because I’m in.Right or wrong, right? And eventually I found out it was legal.
You guys follow me, right? And uh, some of you guys, it is legal.
You see all these people here, it has to be legal, right? Exactly, right? And uh, so check this out.
So first of all, my family is from Haiti.
Anyway, we got any Haitians in the house one more time, right guys?Um, so I’m a, I’m a first gen, I’m a first generation American, right? Um, so like, you know, You know, I’m first, first generation American.
I didn’t understand finance and I wasn’t a good at a lot of things in primerica, but one of the things I was really good at, I was always good at being excited, right?I was always good at being excited when things are going good.
I’m excited when things are not going good.
I’m still what excited on the outside.
You don’t know what’s good on the inside though.
See there’s a message in there.
A lot of us, when things are going good, it’s easy to be excited, isn’t it? But when things are not going your way, do you show it?Do people know? Can your teammates see? Can your family see? See, it gotta be to the point where your wife don’t even know.
Nobody knows, right? Cuz guess what? Sharing the problem ain’t gonna make it better.
Does that make sense, right? You gotta go worry on the solution, worry about fixing the issue, right? So, um, so real quick, I didn’t believe in myself.Anyone ever been there where you didn’t believe in yourself? Right? I might look excited, I might look confident, but that wasn’t me.
That wasn’t how I started.
I didn’t believe I could make money.
I didn’t believe I could recruit people.
I used to see guys Fritz and Harvey.
I used to see all these guys. These were like the guys I looked up to growing up in the business.
And I see these guys getting recognition and I might look like they on the outside, but on the inside, I didn’t believe I could even double digit.
I didn’t even believe I could hire 10 people in a month.
I was just trying to get one.Anyone with me? Right guys.
Right.
I was like 10, 10.
I was like, yo, if I could just get one, I’m good.
Right or wrong.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Kim.
Right.
Kim know what I’m talking about.
Right.
So guess what? I didn’t think I could lead people.
See, eventually I figured out how to recruit.
Eventually I figured out how to do pre in.But then, they was like, alright, well you’re gonna recruit, right? And I was like, yeah.
I was like, well you gotta lead these recruits.
I was like, lead them? I got to show them what to do.
I got to train them.
They got to listen to me.
And I was like, yeah.
So I said, you know what, what I got to do now, I got to start working on my leadership.Right? So what I want to talk to you guys for the next couple of minutes is some qualities of a leader.
Because the reason why you’re gonna get big here, right, is if you’re gonna, is guess it is based on your leadership.
Everything is, everything rises and falls based on leadership.
So we’re gonna talk about some qualities of some leaders, right?See, this year is the year of extreme growth, but it’s also the year of the leader.
It is time for you to become a leader.
You guys follow me, right? So here’s some qualities of leader.
I only got a few minutes left, right? The first quality of a leader, like I said earlier, you always gotta be positive.
See, leaders are always positive. They don’t show hurt.
They don’t show fear.
They don’t show doubt.
Things going good.
They positive things going wrong.
They positive.
I’m going to heckler.
Mark said you got to be so positive that if someone took a gun and put it to your head, you might just think, well, maybe they just bought a new gun. They’re just trying to see if it works.
That’s how positive you got to be.
They ain’t trying to kill me.
They’re just trying to see if it works.
Right? So that’s how positive you got to be.
The next thing is you always got to be self improving.
You gotta be working on yourself.
That your income is a direct reflection of what’s in here.Right? See, guess what? The reason why we don’t make a million yet is because maybe we don’t have the millionaire mindset.
But that’s something that we’re working on, right? Are you working on your 100 grand mindset? Are you working on your 200 grand mindset? See, you gotta get, you gotta work on that mindset, right?Uh, so the next thing you, leaders are always closing.
They’re always making money, right? They’re always leading from the front, right? They’re not telling their people what to do.
They’re showing their people what to do by being the best example, right? The next thing, they’re the hardest working.
Man, they show up early. They leave late, right? They’re always in the office.
They’re always on the Zoom calls, 10 o’clock, no matter what the time is.
Man, you can call a leader at 12 midnight.
They could be sleeping, and guess what? If you tell them, you know, I got a Zoom, it’s a hot one, right? They’re gonna be like, alright, cool, let me wake up, put a shirt on, and they’re gonna go to the Zoom. Why? Because they’re leaders! They’re not gonna say, oh, can you reschedule? Some of you guys are, oh, can I reschedule? I’m trying to get some sleep.
Nah, we’re trying to close.
We don’t got time for that, right? Next thing is, leaders are passionate.
They’re passionate.
Can’t you see Cordell? Right? You guys saw Cordell up here.He was passionate.
I know exactly what he’s feeling.
I know exactly what he’s going through, right? Uh, man, leaders have a bounce back ability.
They know how to bounce back.
They know how to go through challenges, but they don’t let the issues bury them.
See, the problem with a lot of you guys, when you go through adversity, you let adversity bury you.
Stop letting adversity bury you.
Does that make sense? Right? Guess what? Adversity is just a, it’s a training ground for champions.
Right? See, that’s where the champions train, through adversity, right? Man, leaders are approachable.
You can’t get too high, and you don’t want to get too low.
Leaders are approachable. You can come up to a leader, like Chris is a real leader.
You can come up to him, ask him a question, right? Um, You guys excited or what? Right on, right? Leaders are hype men.
Man, you gotta be a hype man, not just for you.
You gotta be a hype man for your team.
You gotta encourage your team.
You gotta believe in your team.Way before, like I was telling Lovia, she was gonna be number one, way before she was even double digit recruiting.
And I’m giving the same message to all my guys on my team, right? So guess what? You gotta be the hype man for your guys, right? Guess what? Leaders communicate.
Right? You got to be on the group chat. You got to communicate with your team.
Stop texting, call, right? I know the text is easy, but the call is what they need.
You guys follow me, right? Leaders are grateful, right? Leaders are grateful.
You got to have an attitude of gratitude.
You guys got me, right? I know you want the big blessings, but if you’re not grateful for the small one, why would God ever give you the big ones, right?Cause you got to be more grateful.
This make a decision this year that you’re going to increase your gratefulness, right? The next thing is right.
Leaders have courage.
Right.
They’re scared, but they do it anyway.
They’re scared.
I know a lot of people, you guys see people come on stage and be like, Ooh, that could never be me.I can’t never go on that stage.
I don’t know, right? Well, you don’t think the people come up here, they scared too? You don’t think when they first started speaking, they were scared? They were scared, but they did it anyway.
You guys follow me, right? The next thing is, right, you can depend on the leader, right? They don’t have no ego.
They’re humble, because they know the same people you passing the way up.
It’s the same people you’re passing your way down.
So don’t get too high.
Right or wrong? Right? The next thing, leaders are accountable.
Right? They’re accountable to other leaders.
Like, we make 250, 000, but Chris makes 100, 000 plus a month. Why would I not listen to him? And the same thing, why would you not listen to your RVP if you’re not making an income? Or if you’re not an RVP.
You guys follow me, right? Then, leaders are productive, not busy.
There’s a difference.
Oh, I’m busy.
Show me your income.
Let’s see how busy you really are.
Are you busy getting ahead or are you busy being productive?Which one? Right or wrong, right? You gotta make a decision, right? Leaders have manners.
They say thank you.
They say please.
They say I appreciate you.
Right? That’s a lost art these days.
You guys follow me, right? You gotta have manners, right? Leaders are servant leaders.
You gotta be a servant leader.
The only reason why we’re up here is because of our amazing team. And the guys that these, the work that they put in every single day and we appreciate them.
I’m on top of them like crazy.
You don’t know.
If they don’t show up to the office, they get a call from me.
If they don’t show up to power hour, they miss a training, oh, they get a call from me.
I know once they miss training, they time it.Yeah, Sheldon gonna call me around 830.
Yeah, the meeting probably just finished right around, right? We know he gonna get a call, right? Hey, it is what it is, right? Leaders are able to have the tough conversation.
Right? Leaders have them a solution oriented.
Their mindset is, I’m sorry, how can we fix this? You need to learn that.
Right? See, stop tripping over pennies.
And start fighting for millions.
Stop tripping over pennies and start fighting for millions.
There’s no argument, there’s no grudge that’s worth millions.
Right guys? Right? But guys, that’s what I got for you man.
I’m just excited, I’m fired up, I’ll, I’ll, I think this thing got low battery.Right or wrong.
Grab not show what’s going on.
Right.
I’m just kidding.
We ran out of time.
But we are excited.
Jeanette and I, man.
We are so committed.
We are so focused, man.
This year we are gonna go SVP 700,000.
We got three to six RVPs coming out.
Bunch of ring earn coming out, man.
And we are so grateful for our senior national sales director soon to be $2 million earner.I need everyone to stand on their feet for Chris hr.
