Hey, guys, I think we’re looking at the next $2 million hierarchies.
Am I right? First of all, thank you, Joe and Denise, for putting this all together.
Denise, I love what you said because it’s so relevant to what we’re talking about today.
And it’s about the topic of time.
So let’s get those slides up, guys.
Time is a commodity, just like Denise said earlier, right? Once it goes, you can’t get it back.
And the issue about that is your earning potential is based on time.
And if you have a job, there’s only so many hours you can work, right or wrong.
So what happens if you know how much you make in a year, whether you’re working one, two or three jobs, if you know how much you’re making in a year, you can basically calculate how much money you will make in your working lifetime.
Now, my question to you all is, and we’ve asked ourselves every day since we’ve been in primerica, is that all you’re worth? Is that all your time is worth? Why do you believe that’s all your time is worth? So I’m gonna pass it off to Sherry.
She’s gonna talk about putting more time and maximizing your time in Primerica so that Primerica can give you more time in the end.
Thank you.
So, I know my slides are in black, but this one’s in white.
So we talk about time, right? What do we do with our time? A lot of us waste our time, right? A lot of us spend our time doing something, and then a lot of us invest our time, right? We think we’re investing it just like we do with our money.
But this.
If you guys want to get a book, we just finished a book with David Kim and his mindset, training on Fridays.
Seven habits of highly effective people by Stephen Covey.
And it talks about these four quadrants.
It’s kind of like the four cash quadrants, right? But this is the four quadrants of time.
And I’ll be honest, it’s not a confession, but I don’t remember any other of the six skills.
I just remember this one skill.
And it talks about how the top left is urgent and important.
The right is not urgent but also important.
The bottom one is urgent but not important.
And the bottom right is.
Is not urgent and not even important.
Which of these do you think we spent the most time on? Right.
And why is that? Right.
Why is that when most of us should be spending actually, we should be spending in quadrant two things that are not urgent but are very important.
Right.
And it talks about it a lot of the times that we should focus on is preparation and planning.
We clarifying our values.
Right.
Relationship building.
A lot of things that we do in our business, right.
Like scheduling appointments, making the phone calls.
Right.
Being on appointments.
And the thing is, if we don’t spend our time in quadrant two, a lot of the things that we should be doing in quadrant two, like exercising.
Right.
End up being in quadrant one, emergencies.
Right.
And so that’s why some of us get overwhelmed, because life is life.
We’re going to have emergencies anyway.
But if we’re not doing what we’re supposed to do in quadrant two, those become emergencies on top of our emergencies, and then we feel overwhelmed.
Right.
So primerica is a lot like that.
We need to focus on quadrant two.
And we talked about that.
Most of the things that we do, we spent in quadrant three and quadrant four.
Quadrant three is urgent but not important.
What does that mean? That means there are other people’s problems that we take on.
Right.
So a lot of quadrant three we can delegate.
Right.
I know for me, how many here are parents, right.
So, and also, like, for the past ten years, you know, I have three kids that are like, under ten.
One just turned ten.
And so for many years I was in diapers, laundry, you know, like all that baby stuff.
Right.
But how many of us spend a lot of time washing and drying clothes? And we spend two days trying to fold the clothes.
Right.
Did you know that you can pay someone $40 to wash and dry your clothes and fold them.
Right.
It’s true.
Right.
A lot of people spend time on things that you’re actually.
You don’t need to do.
Right.
You can hire someone that can cook better than you.
You can hire someone that cleans better than you because they do for me.
Right.
And we can delegate those things.
CRM delegates those things for us.
Right.
We spend a lot of time scrolling our phones, trying to see who do we call? Who do we call? And CRM does that for us anyway.
Right.
Can you do number four? And number four is the things that we let go.
Right.
Junk mail, trivia, busy work, time wasters.
So next one, is it necessary to manage time? Yes.
You must manage your time, especially if you want to advance rapidly.
Remember that time management is not just a fixed pattern.
Things are going to change, and that’s life.
So we have to accept it.
Right.
You have to do this all the time because it evolves.
And because it evolves, it means you have the opportunity to improve.
Okay, so what does it mean to be part time in primerica? Well, a lot of us coming to Primerica wanting to be part time, and that was me.
Right.
But part time does not mean no time.
A lot of us come into primerica and don’t even spend any time.
There’s no time in Primerica.
Right.
But I understood because me and Carlo, our professions were in nursing, right? And so I was a dialysis nurse.
My hours in the day was six in the morning till 1130 at night, three, four times a day.
And of course, there’s on call.
But in dialysis, there’s only one day that I know I will always be off in that Sunday.
And that was my primerica time.
You got to dedicate some time into Primerica if you want to make the money.
Right.
I understood that if I wanted to get another job, right.
Because, let’s be honest, they tell us to save our money, participate in the 401K.
But a lot of us still feel like we’re living paycheck to paycheck.
A lot of us feel like we can’t even move ahead from what we have, right? So know that you’ve.
Because you’ve added Primerica to your time.
You got to take away some of that time.
You got to take away something out of your time.
Right? And those are the quadrant four things that we.
That we waste.
Time wasters, tv time, hanging out time.
A lot of people think that spending with our kids is quality time.
But is it really quality time when you’re just sitting on the couch watching tv together? Right.
No, I know there’s some really good quality time.
You can go outside.
Right? Like in the trips together.
Right.
Invest time into showing up, training at the office.
It doesn’t happen right away, but I even changed my work schedule in the beginning so we could get Primerica right.
Block time into your calendar.
Put the schedule together.
Put reminders on your calendar when training is right.
Build intentional relationships and expect that most of your appointments in the beginning are gonna be from your friends and your family.
Because you don’t have time to market yourself.
Right.
Have your friends and family market for you.
That’s why you gotta sit in front of them.
And last but not least, going full time.
Going full time means you gotta talk to your RVPD.
You gotta figure out what they said.
How much money do you need to make here to leave your job, right.
Self develop.
Do what you preach.
Map your money.
I wanna say the last thing is that people think there’s work life balance.
And that’s what people say.
Because they feel that they work hard at their job and they don’t have anything to show for it.
So they don’t wanna work anymore.
Right.
They don’t wanna work at their job.
Cause they don’t have the balance of life.
Right.
I want Carlo to talk about these last two things.
Guys, right? Before I get guys, I just want.
To leave you with two thoughts, okay? If you make $50,000 in a year and you work for 20 years, didn’t you make a million dollars? Think about all the time you put into that year.
But here’s the thing.
Check this out.
The average raise.
I looked this up.
I googled it.
That’s a primerica joke.
The average raise in Primerica is 3% a year, okay? 3% of $50,000 is $1,500.
That’s an okay piece of change.
Right? But divide that into 26 paychecks.
If you’re getting paid every other week, that’s about $50 extra in your paycheck.
Are you excited about that? Guys, guys.
If you’re excited about that, then you need to be here, because trust me.
Okay? But also, if you’re not excited, then you need to be here.
Right? I just want to say that if you make a million dollars in a year, how about being excited about going from $50,000 a year to $100,000 a year? Are you excited about that? How about going from 100 to 250 to half a million to a million, guys, I think we should be excited about that because that’s our opportunity here.
So if you make a million dollars in a year, didn’t you just buy back 20 years of your life? Guys, proud to be your teammates.
What doesn’t kill you makes you strong.
