Guys, thank you so much.
Thank you, Keith and Danielle, thank you to all the RVP team guys.
We would not be here if it wasn’t for you guys today.
Just the inspiration, the motivation, I tell our team all the time, if it wasn’t for events like this, we would not be here.
Like that is 100% slam dunk.
You can guarantee it.
If we would not have attended events like these, I promise you, our business would not look like what it is today.
And we’re so very grateful for just what, you know, for what we’ve been able to get from this opportunity.
I’m not just talking about money.
Yes, we’ve been blessed tremendously to have a business that, you know, just pays us and allows us to be a family when we’re choosing to be a family.
You know, our kids are growing up right before our eyes.
And for Primerica to give us the opportunity to watch them grow and support them on what it is that they’re doing right now is one of the biggest blessings that I can ever ask for.
You know, it’s such a gift.
When I started in the business, one of my goals was because, remember, I don’t know if you guys know, I started at 18.
I didn’t have any kind of prior experience, but as I was growing in the business, we met a lot of people from all over corporate America and so on.
I saw how a lot of women had no choice that when they started their families, they had to put their infants in daycare to be.
Have to go back to work.
So I said, if I can at least be able to spend time with my kids and never have to do that, if Primerica could do that for me, oh, my gosh, that is like the ultimate of the ultimate.
Once we started a family, yes, Primerica was able to do that for us.
I just didn’t know were going to have four, you know, which is an amazing blessing.
But now they’re grown, our kids, you know, just.
Everybody, thank you for all the nice words.
A lot of people come up to us and especially ask us about our daughter Gabby, because she does.
She’s a level seven gymnast going on to level eight.
And she has her state competition tomorrow.
So if everybody could say a little prayer for her.
She puts a lot of time and dedication, and she is Carlos Salazar in female form.
If anybody wants to just understand how her personality is, she is Carlos in female form.
So she, you know, puts a lot into her sport.
But she’s taken it seriously for a very long time.
Since A very young age.
You know, our boys were very proud of them as well.
They’re growing up, becoming men before us.
And to the Ortiz family, let me tell you, one of the things that impacted me the most in my career here in Primerica was watching you and your family come out on that stage at the convent, like, already getting choked up.
Because when I saw you guys with your parents, I saw my boys in that.
In that picture, and it sold us a picture that I say we are building this for the long term for our family to change their lives, to be able to do something that you guys have done.
And just, guys, this is the impact that we’re talking about.
It’s not just about the money.
It’s not just about the.
The, you know, the.
Although the perks, I guess, if you want to call it such, it’s so much bigger than that.
And so I want you to understand that you are, you know, you have been chosen for the time that this is right now for you in your life.
This.
This opportunity is a gift.
It’s a wide open door.
Like someone said before, I think it was Roy Lipson.
It’s a wide open door.
You know, run through that door and don’t waste the time.
And please help me welcome my partner in this business in life, Mr.
Carlos Salazar.
Hey.
All right, let’s give Sarah a hand.
Yeah, I’m.
I’m so many of these things that I was going to cover already been said, but thank you to Keith and Danielle for just putting this amazing event.
Dave and Joyce for coming out here.
They have Florence.
Man, RVP team makes it look good.
The red and black team growing here in the Tampa area, love working with Blake.
You know, Blake, to me, it’s awesome to see Blake because he, even though, like he said, he has this great business he’s going to inherit, he’s in the grind and I see him in the office and it’s so awesome because I’m thinking of my son now he’s 15, and his friends ask him, what is it that we do? So he’s already prospecting.
Unfortunately, I can’t recruit him because they’re 15, but the point is they’re getting ready.
He’s getting ready.
So I see Blake and I see my son.
I’m like, man, this is what it’s about, you know, being able to have been field trained by Keith and I have the opportunity to work with his son.
It’s pretty mind blowing, right? But real quick as you leave here and I’m talking to myself, because we’re not where we want to be.
We want to go to the next level is the focus as you leave here, and I’m going to bust through this is you got to go recruiting.
Keith always taught us that, you know, we’ve always been fortunate to be in a business where we had a mentor that always talked about recruiting and building, distribution.
Why? Because that’s how you’re going to get more financial products sold, right? It’s also going to weigh the way you help more families.
It’s the only way it’s going to happen.
And it also is going to give you the freedom of time leverage, right? It’s going to give you promotions.
It’s going to give you RVP promotions, more offices, overrides.
You know, were in Colombia for ten days, and we still average a thousand to fifteen hundred dollars a day.
Now the goal is to get it to 3,000 a day, right? Because that’s where we’re at, right? You make 500,000 and you feel like you’re on the lowing pole of the primerical world, right? But regardless, it’s 1500 a day and almost 1500 days in Colombia.
It’s a lot more than here, for sure.
But, you know, and where are we going to recruit? Because you’re probably leaving here and saying, who do I talk to? Who don’t you talk to? You got four markets.
Hot, warm, lukewarm, and cold.
Target, all of them.
And my concept is always, you need to make at least 50 calls a day or 50 contacts a day, whether it’s DMs, whether it’s Instagram, whether it’s phone calls, whatever you feel best with.
They all work, by the way.
I think the Zoom world sometimes confuses us, but I think Eric hit it on the head.
I’d rather have a live 50 to 100 people than 100 Zoom.
I mean, I think you’re seeing the proof of what’s happening with that, right? So we got to just sell out to that, right? And then we got to accept some things, which a lot of these things they covered, right? But you know, 50% of stuff cancels.
So play the law of large numbers, right? Build deep, right? One out of four are going to join, by the way, no matter how you present it and do it.
And I’m going touch on that in a couple of seconds.
All right? And then I think we hit on all of these.
So I’m just kind of recapping the day for you in a second here.
But remember this.
Our job is to introduce the opportunity.
We have some options.
We grew up in the opportunity meeting world with Keith.
We were sold out to the op meeting.
We’re talking with this with Blake the other day of how, you know, we’re talking about how we had so many guests and it was because we sold out to it.
And Keith said, you’re one guest away from an explosion.
And so we would bring 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 guests as a team.
10, 20 personal.
Right now, today there’s videos, right? Does that work? Sure.
But the numbers are the numbers.
You better have at least 10 videos a day, get watched or send 10 videos so that hopefully two or three are watching and one out of four are going to join.
Or you could do one ones live, right? When Omar or Pesa did a school for us, he was no op, meaning everything was live kitchen table.
So we learned that too, right? That’s the beauty of it.
Or now there’s the zoom world.
That works too.
So if you think about it, we have all these different options, right? There we go.
And the reality is this, why not you? You gotta leave today and realize that you can be one of the people in front of these tables here.
You could be one on this stage.
Why not? You become the best recruiter and you’re gonna have to become the best to go recruit the best.
Believe every time you’re recruiting someone, every time you’re talking to someone, everyone you see, hey, this may be the next Tiger.
Maybe this is the next Jason or Eric Ortiz.
Maybe this is the next David Kim, right? The next Tigers there.
Maybe this is the next Costello, right? Imagine overriding Ray or imagine overriding Roy.
Think about it.
The next Tiger might be standing next to you today, right? Recruiting, by the way, is an advantage.
What if they Monday morning they said, hey guys, we can’t recruit no more.
Would we be saying, what if I did not stop recruiting, right? And I’m talking to myself because we ain’t recruiting enough in the bay shop, right? Recruiting will bring you the freedom.
And I thank Keith for that because he sold me.
And he said, carlos, it’s a four year game plan for you to become a regional vice president, make a six figure income with it.
And that was exactly what happened.
We were college students going to school for finance.
We’re part time, two years.
Then went full time and pretty much 24 months after that became VPs making 123.
You got to believe you deserve more.
See, I don’t know where you come from, but this is a picture of me at seven years old.
We came to the country and the first time, let’s just say we didn’t make it, okay? We got deported, we got rejected in the Bahamas.
Like mom, when the first time I took her to Bahamas and a company trip, she said, I’ve taken you to Bahamas.
I was like, you took me in a different way, though.
I got you in a hotel.
We were getting deported.
Okay, A little bit friggin different, right? Trump’s not in here, right? Trump in here.
Okay, good.
I love Trump, though, but he’s not in here right now, right? But then we come to this country and I didn’t grow up with my biological father, grew up with a stepdad.
And let’s just say my growing environment wasn’t positive.
It wasn’t Pleasantville, it was a little bit violent.
And from 7 years old to 14 years old, this was my room.
I slept in a closet for seven years.
And you would think I would be there saying, God, you brought me to America for this.
This is what I’m worth.
And I was angry at God for many years and I just prayed for an opportunity that one day when I would have kids, that would never be the possibility.
Now, I want to stress something.
See, most psychologists, sociologists said that little boy will not make it.
He will be on drugs, he will be on alcohol, he will beat his wife.
Will he be in jail by the time he’s 18 or 19? That’s what they would have told you, See, But I don’t believe that you’re a product of your environment, See, I believe you’re a product of how you react to the environment, See, because I look at Blake has grown an amazing environment, but yet he’s grinding it, working, frustrated when the guests don’t come, right? Even for him, they don’t show up.
And he’s Keith Otto’s son and Daniel Otto’s son.
But even though he grew up in a great environment, he still wants his.
A lot of guys in Primerica have children and they’re at that level and they’re not doing the business or like Danielle said, they don’t want to do it.
I look at the Costello boys, right? Their children, right? And they’re fighting just like that because they watched it, right? That’s amazing.
I had the opposite.
And I could have decided to kind of follow the same track, but I said, give me a shot to do something different.
Give me a shot to change the tree, you know? And then Primerica’s changed.
This was our first car that we paid 500 bucks for.
My son’s about to drive soon, and I’m like, man, his car is going to be a little different than mine.
Little different.
Why? Because Primerica changed our life.
Because Keith Otto poured into us.
Because Jamie Ordone invited me to a meeting three times before I came.
Z.
Not changing.
Can I change it? Forward it? It’s a couple slides.
That’s it.
So today we get to drive something a little bit different, right? Who would have thought? He’s not driving.
Well, he’s driven it, but I’m not letting him drive it all the time.
Right.
But I’m not supposed to be there.
And today my closet is a little bit better than I had it before.
Guys, just wrapping up in this, man, you know, just came back from Columbia.
I got to pour into men in a ministry group that I do that don’t have a shot that grew up in areas where their fathers are hitmen and they’re trained to go become hitmen.
And, yeah, you could pour into people like that and change them.
I’m telling you’re in the greatest country and the greatest company in the world.
Just take advantage of it.
