What are we doing to grow our business? Right? So the first thing I want to, especially the new people, guys, one of the things is we got to be grateful for this opportunity.
Our mentors, David and George, they always say, right, if you’re grateful, you can’t be complaining and be grateful at the same time.
Does that make sense? Right? You can be grateful and be hateful.
It doesn’t work.
So why I say that if we just switch our mindset and be grateful, that would take half of our problems away.
Because think about it.
In our business, why are most people struggling? Because they focus more on, you know, what’s not working, versus if you truly believe this thing work, this, there’s nothing else like it.
Guess what? You treat it differently, right? Okay.
All right, that’s good.
Okay.
So one of the cool things about our business, especially if you’re brand new, every skill required to win in our business can be learned.
For example, right? My background, you know, as you notice, I have an accent, right? I wasn’t always from this country.
I came here when I was 14 from Haiti.
I was born in Haiti, okay? So the thing is, right before America, I never sold anything in my life, right? And I’m like the most awkward when it comes to people skill.
I had no people skill.
So basically, I was the worst person you would want to recruit, right? And also a quick story about myself.
The first time we came across Paramerica, right? I was anti Paramerica.
I used to think this thing is a pyramid scheme, right? Why would anybody want to do this, right? And my brother who introduced me to Primerica, I give him for the first year in the business, I give him grief, right? And I try to save him from Prime Erica.
I will have my friends, you know, my smart friends call him, say, hey, you know, this kid is being brainwashed, right? And thank God, you know, he didn’t listen to me, kept going.
He.
So that’s why I think I’m good at recruiting.
Because a lot of people, they are ignorant, just like I was ignorant, right? In my background.
I went to school for accounting, right? You know, I like to think I’m at this decent, you know, like, smart guy, right? But because I was so ignorant about the business, I didn’t know.
So some of the fundamentals that we’re working on right now, guys, you have to have a recruiting philosophy.
Okay, so what do I mean by that? So when I joined the business, I know I’m not good at sales, I’m not good at people.
The only thing that got me Excited I learned, hey, you can work with people who are better than you are.
So I started thinking, I’m Haitian, I’m from Haiti, I don’t speak English very well, right? I have an accent, man.
I can go work with some Americans, right? I can go recruit some Spanish people, some Nigerians.
So I’m thinking, man, like, all I gotta do is bring them to the system and I’m gonna be wealthy and I get excited.
Think about it.
If you’re brand new, you don’t have to be a Quitaro.
Go recruit a Kitaro.
Does that make sense? Go recruit her, David Kim.
Go recruit her.
Captain Sergio.
She’s a successful attorney, right? But guess what? I’m not as great as she, but she got leadership that I didn’t have when I started the business.
But guess what? I was able to recruit her and bring her to the system.
So if you bring you.
Those are the things that gotta get you excited.
Don’t be intimidated by what you see.
You see the front row here, guys, they pay their dues, but I bet you there’s something about the business, right, that got them excited.
So for me, it was recruiting.
So if you brand new, that ought to get you excited as well too, right? Going back real quick.
So some of the fundamentals, real quick, right? When it comes to attendance, guys, it’s one of the most important thing about the business.
Whoever has the most people showing up, right? You’re going to beat everybody else.
So my wife and I, sometimes we go to training.
Here’s some of the things that we’ve been doing.
I used to do it when I was bringing you in the business, but we backed because Zoom kind of messed you up a little bit.
So it is so what we do now, right? So she and I, we pick up new guests, we go pick them up, bring them to the office.
Why? Because attendance is where it’s at.
And as soon as we started doing that, right, our licenses started to increase a little bit.
Does that make sense? And for example, yesterday, guys, I drove for two hours to Fort Lauderdale to pick up people to bring them here.
But hey, wait, if you bring your.
Here’s the message though.
Every trade off you’re doing right now in the business is temporary.
Kidaro doesn’t have to do that anymore, but he pays his dues for a few.
Because what’s the alternative, right? Because you can either spend the next 30, 40 years working at a job where.
Nothing wrong with jobs, by the way, but there’s a better alternative.
So everything we do in this business is temporary.
And I don’t even say sacrifice, I say trade off because it’s an investment so you can get a better return.
Does that make sense? So we have two kids, we have a five year old and a two year old.
Sometimes both of us, my wife and I, we have to leave them to come to training, we have to leave them to come to events, right? But remember it’s temporary because we want to build a business for them.
So those are some of the things that we gotta do to grow attendance, the trade offs, right? Also, we have a perfect system in Primerica, guys, when you think about it, just like McDonald, right? You know, like 18 year old, 19 year old can run a location that’s bringing, you know, hundreds if not millions of dollars a year, right? But they have a system, those people, their parents probably wouldn’t even trust them with their own cars.
But yet the system is so good at McDonald’s, right? A teenager can run it.
It’s the same thing with the primary car opportunity.
Just like Blake was saying earlier, right? So if you follow the system, it doesn’t have to be personality.
If a guy like me, right, very shy and by the way, like I’m dying he being up here.
But guess what though, that’s what I love about the primary opportunity.
You get to change.
And a lot of people that meet me and I say, man, you really good with people.
I’m like, oh man, that’s not me.
This is the journey I’m on.
This is the change I’ve been making.
And now that we vice president, it’s like we just graduated from college.
Now we’re just gonna use that.
You know, when you graduate in school right now, you get to go in the real world to apply that degree.
So now we’re regional vice president, we’re like, okay, so.
So now we get to go out there and really apply this contract.
So the journey, guys, when you think about it’s all about transformation.
And lastly on recruiting, this is the thing, if you’re here, let’s say you want to be a business owner.
Unfortunately, if you’re going to be a business owner, there’s going to be some recruiting being done.
The difference between the traditional business and Primerica, right? Traditional business, you override employees and that’s not such a great system.
Think about it.
Employees have no financial interest in that business.
So you always go into employees, right? But here you get to recruit and override other business owners who have a financial interest in their own business.
To me, when you think about that, how can you not get excited about recruiting? Make sense? And if you look right, all businesses, they have a loss prevention department.
Thank God we don’t have to worry about that here.
If you bring it, think about that.
Whatever business you’re thinking of getting into, think about it.
You get to get into a business here.
You don’t even have to worry about things like loss prevention because most businesses, that’s what they suffer from.
And lastly guys, we are in the best country in the world, right? We’re in the best opportunity.
How can we not get excited? How can a guy like me? Because who else going to give me a shot, right? A shy guy with an accent, right? Scared of talking to people and man, I’m up here, right? I get to share what we’re doing.
And it’s only just the beginning, man.
We’re so excited to be in the same business with all of you guys, all the leaders that pay the price.
Thank you for paying the price.
Thank you kids.
