Hello.
Well, we appreciate you guys.
Like you wouldn’t believe.
We’ve been here 28 years.
I joined when I was two.
Okay.
They, they had a special IBA for me when I joined.
Okay, so we’re going to talk about the value of region vice president.
When we came here, there’s only two positions I want to get to.
Number one, I want to get to district.
And the only reason why I want to get to district was because if I can get myself to district, I can help somebody else get to district.
The second position was regional vice president.
And I remember vividly like it was yesterday.
I remember John Lavin giving some different speeches on double digit recruiting.
I was like, okay, what’s double digit recruiting mean? DDR, what does that mean? Well, the value of regional vice president is so special that sometimes people miss it.
Because some of you have been regional leaders, you’ve been senior regional leaders, senior vice president, regional leaders for a long time, right? And you look at Christmas, but look at Christmas through a little kid’s eyes.
Can you see the magical 24 December? They couldn’t sleep, right? If you knew you were getting your first bike, how did you feel when you’re about, you knew that you were going to be able to ride that bike the next day? You didn’t care if it was raining? I grew up in New Jersey.
It was cold.
It didn’t matter if it was cold.
It didn’t matter if it was snowing.
We went outside to play with the toys that we knew were going to get.
But how did you act before Christmas came? Some of you were bad, okay? But I actually tried to be as good as possible.
So I deserved.
So my dad wouldn’t take away those toys.
So I challenge some of you to go back.
Even those of you are regional vice president.
I’m like a new kid because I understand the power of an explosion, right? I know that our team is going to explode.
And I keep telling myself that over and over.
How do you feel when you get knocked down? Do you feel like getting back up? See, Alan, Rosemary have been knocked down.
We didn’t join the business.
Go straight to a million.
But that’s okay.
Where else can I go and make a couple of hundred thousand? I’m a c minus student from Hillside, New Jersey.
Where else can I go and make 2030 40,000 a month, right? Some of you should be asking yourself that question.
We got some deep questions for you today.
The second slide says goals and discomfort.
Now I got my daughters.
Help me out.
It’s amazing.
I’ve always heard people say about primary kids, you better believe it’s the truth.
I asked both my daughters the same question.
They both came up with some quotes that were something similar to each other.
Here’s the first one.
My oldest daughter said, goals are achieved through discomfort and hard work.
You can’t hide out in a place where you’re nice and cozy.
Think about that.
I got the blood bus up there.
The blood bus.
You got to understand, when you donate blood, you save three to seven lives.
But when I went to go donate blood, John, you got to hear this.
This is funny.
I went in, and the needle that they pulled out was for elephants.
I’m here to tell you, I think I was the only one that donated blood that day.
They thought that they were going to get their quota by any means necessary.
They gave me a bag of chips.
I needed a meal.
Matter of fact, I wanted some of my blood back.
I wanted to get some of those bags and drink some of the blood.
Because I went out 50 pounds lighter, I couldn’t drive home.
Some of you all get that on the way home.
Okay, but listen to this.
Nothing deep happens in the shallow end.
And I’ve got a deep question for you.
Would you join you if you came to see you.
Would you join you.
If you came to see you about this business, you better understand what I’m saying.
Would you join? And you got to be truthful.
Some of you is no.
Some of you is, yes.
Some of you need to get better.
Would you join you if you came to see you about this business? See, some of you don’t understand the value in the power of primerica.
I sat in a Tesla.
It was a plaid, right? It was a real fast one, right? I should not have gotten in that car with that guy.
He drives fast.
Lord Jesus, help me.
But one thing he said, alan, now here’s a guy who does operations.
And he said, alan, I have to be the smartest person in the room.
Otherwise people die.
He said, if I had it all to do it over again, I would rather be you.
Because you have brains on tap.
You ain’t got nothing on top.
Now, when he said, I’m a little slow, so my brain turned a little bit, I said, whoa, whoa.
Hey, what was that? And he said, well, think about it.
I do operations.
If I’m not the smartest person in the room, somebody will die.
You have other people that can be smart, and you can just be you.
But the question remains the same.
Would you join you if you came to see you.
And some of you is no, because some of you think of it as still to that thing.
Do you understand the value of what you have your hands on? I’ve always understood the value.
I’ve always understood that this business would pay me more than any car.
Let me give an example.
My pastor did a zoom for us.
Why? Because I asked him.
We come from a pretty decent sized church, about 4000 members.
Pretty decent sized church.
I asked him if he come on.
He said, what shall I talk about? He said.
I said, whatever your spirit leads you to talk about.
He said, alan, 28 years ago, Kmart was one of the top 50 companies in America.
They used it as a buffer, as a guiding tool for other companies.
And Primerica was nobody.
Primerica was nobody.
28 years later, Primerica is one of the top companies on Wall street.
We’re just not on Wall street.
We’re one of the top companies on Wall street.
Other companies understand the value of the Primerica regional vice president.
But do you? Do you really understand the value? You got to think about that when you talk to someone.
We have a guy on our team this week, recruited a dean of a college.
Why? Because he understands the value of primerica.
And we talked to his friend.
He said, what are you going to do when you retire? I don’t know.
Would you like something to do that can prepare you now so you’re not waiting till later.
You got to become a pro.
So there’s three things that I wrote up here.
There’s freedom, there’s time.
And there’s a high income two, 3400,000, not 100.
See, the Mona Lisa has a lot of value.
And we see that as a lot of value.
People go see it because it’s a lot of value.
But do people come see you because you have a lot of value? See, the second question is this.
Would you give your life savings? Because I sat with two or three people this week that are giving me their life savings.
That’s called future money.
And I’ll drop this just because if you’re getting securities licensed to get promoted to region vice president, you don’t have a clue.
See, I remember vividly having conversations with John Lavin in the parking lot, in the lobbies.
And were talking about assets on a man.
I had no number one.
I didn’t know what assets meant.
I thought it meant something else, which is not a good thing.
But he was talking about assets under management.
He was talking about, Alan, you got to get that securities license.
It’s valuable.
You can write business.
It’s future money.
So if you don’t have any assets under management today, you can’t pay yourself later on because you have nothing to draw from.
There are accounts that I wrote seven years ago.
One had 300,000 in his account is at 596,000 today.
And I had to move it because it was an old account.
I had to move it into a better account.
It’s like getting a BMW is nice, but a 2010 is not a 2023.
So I had to move it into a better account.
So what do I do with the client? I say, Mr.
Client, we have to move this account.
Because you had an old car, now there’s a new car.
It’s better for you in every way.
What do you want to do? They got to move it.
There is no.
Let me think about it.
He’s like, okay, Alan, it went from 300,000, 596.
What do you need? See, I have brains on tap.
I didn’t even know that there was a new account.
But the companies called me and said, Alan, did you know there’s some new accounts? I said, no, tell me about the new accounts.
They told me about the new accounts.
Am I right? And we had to move it.
Full commission.
But if I didn’t do what I need to do seven years ago, I can’t pay myself today because there’s no future money in the bank.
Drop it.
Last slide.
I’m done.
You see this? The most dangerous place on earth is not on the left.
That is a real life destination for vacations.
On the left.
That is not the most dangerous place.
The most dangerous place is sitting at home watching television, sucking up donuts with your teddy bear, and you’re supposed to be on zooms.
There’s only three times you’re working in Primerica.
Three times you’re working, right? There’s only three times you’re working.
Setting appointments, being on appointments, and picking up checks.
Thank you very much.
